Questions about MEB

hi All,

I have a query regarding my MEB process, i am active duty army currently having around 4 years in and have issues with my back and have to go through the med board.
So the doctor has put in a P3 profile.
What are the next steps,

IDES has to accept the MEB and then i get assigned to a PEBLO right?
What would be the next steps?

Can someone please in detail explain in me?

So you have it Right
-t3 meb referral
-p3 issue upon ides acceptance
-peblo will contact you
-va rep will contact you
-Your c&p exams will be schedule accordingly with whatever claims you have with the va
-NARSUM
-all your c&p +commander statement +NARSUM + counselings go to MEB
-MEB finds you unfit or fit
-push to PEB (if unfit by Meb)
-PEB makes unfit or fit decision (199 form)
-PEB request va ratings (if unfit)
-you receive your ratings
-you receive LOR
It’s a very lengthy process, there’s a great video on YouTube , if you look up ides process.
Also your Peblo will give you the same explanation and you can always ask what’s next after you reach each step

IDES has accepted i think my profile.
I got a call today regarding choosing of IDES vs LDES and i went with IDES. Not sure if i picked the right one.
Peblo reached out to me.
It seems i have to attend a DES briefing and then VA rep will call in 3 business days.

Peblo was telling me that its going to take atleast 2 months to submit my packet to the PEB, why does it take such a long time just to submit the packet?
So i have to go outside for getting an exam done?
 
Yes you want ides . It takes a long time because you have to attend all the schedule appointments for every or most claim conditions . There’s a lot more to it ? That’s just one step. I’m sending you a link to a video very informative
