8 days after retirement date, we were involved in a car accident. The truck that rear ended us totaled our vehicle. We are in a bit of a bind now. Medically wise shaken up but are feeling okay. We saved up enough money for 2 months worth of pay but do not want to spend it on a vehicle or down payment now without recouping our savings. This TDRL process was not what we wanted to happen as I wanted to stay in and finish out my 20. Does anyone know when the first retirement check should hit? TDRL date was 30MAY2025. AD Navy. My Retiree Account is on DFAS now, but there's no statements (I'm assuming because it was just activated). Thank you for your support in advance.
