Alright, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But you don't receive a Projected VA Rating unless you have a condition that has been deemed unfit by the board right?
Everything I can find online and have been told is:

Board receives Package
Admin Shit
IPEB Makes Fit/Unfit decision
If Fit: Board stops, RTFD
If Unfit...
More Admin Shit/Sent to VA DRAS for ratings on every condition
VA DRAS sent to board
Separation Type made (Separation vs. Retirement, etc.)
Admin Shit/Sent back to Service Member

My Timeline:
Feb 18: MEB
April 26: PEB Submitted
May 10: MOL Notification
August 16: VA Case changed to closed, PEBLO said 100% Projected
Today: Day 129 with the board, 93 with the Medical Officer

VA and DoD % are separate. You can receive a 100% rating with the VA but you won’t know if you’re unfit for duty until the PEB says you are. The unfit determination is found ONLY on your MEB/PEB referred conditions not everything you claimed with the VA.

Your VA ratings are not able to be finalized until you are deemed unfit for service by the PEB and you send a copy of your DD214 to the VA.

But they have to use the VA Rating for your DoD Rating if you're in the IDES. Yes the DoD Percentage is only your separating items making if different, but it's still the same rating those items have on the VA side.

and from any descriptions of the board it states they look at your item without a rating, make a decision and then ask for your ratings.

And yes they're not finalized, but that is more a formality because of the process and how the VA operates. The amount of people who have it changed between those two periods is miniscule from what I've seen.

Does anybody know how to find the breakdown of the VA Rating per condition? I was given 50 but i don't know how much of it was from my condition I claimed for my med board and how much was from misc. injuries.

It should be on Ebenefits and VA.gov, but you won't get that kind of breakdown until they get your DD214,

Essentially the VA system stalls at the finish line until they have that. Because you aren't a Vet yet, so they gotta wait for that to happen to cross that red tape.

Yeah I figured it would be that way. All ive been able to find is my proposed rating that are all accumulative ratings.

So there is no knowing my DoD disability until the board comes back with my case i guess.

Also to answer your question you get your projected VA rating if you opted for IDES. It will stay regardless of your PEB findings but there are stipulations on time. if you are found fit and the proposed rating expires (after a year i think) then you will have to get reevaluated when you get out for an updated VA rating.

Does anyone have a website or any other way to track where youre at in the PEB without using your PEBLO, mine really sucks at comunication.

There is no such website for the USMC, how ever if you kept your paperwork from your initial Peblo meeting, there should be a secondary Peblo's POC, if not you can always call the main office and ask for the status of your claim or contact your lawer stating how your Peblo doesnt have information to see if they might have the answers you need. If not, call your commands Wounded Warrior regiment and let them know how no one is assting you during your IDES and is only causing further stress/anxiety. It can be very mentally draining.

Mine is the same way. Hardly answers the phone/email if at all. Her mailbox has been full the whole time I've been under her (Feb of this year). I'm really confused how someone who has been teleworking so much doesn't answer the phone or their email! It got to the point where i just ended up finding her boss's number and calling him.

If they're not being helpful make sure they get held responsible. File an IG complaint.

I wont lie, Id do it if it wasnt too tedious and if I wasnt a petty person. Wounded warrior called me on the 31st to ask how my IDES has been and I flat out said my Peblo was literally only useful the day I got on the IDES and after that she was no help and always gave me a run around and just called out all their bs.

My case just went to PEB as of Sept. 1st and I’ve been in this process since July 27 2020 and my shit just went to PEB also just got told that it’s going to be another 6-8 months before I receive my finding. That makes almost 2 years in the MEB/PEB system from start to finish

Wouldn't an ICE complaint be better since they're civilians?
I was going to ICE them first but they do not have a category on the ICE website. I put one in and had some Colonel email me saying that it is up to the command if they want their Civilians to be open to being ICE'd and there is nothing I could do but go to the command itself. So I contacted WWB and it got nowhere so I put in a IG complaint first to the USMC and then they transferred it over to NAVIG which its currently split into two complaints one for my PEBLO which is currently at the CO of NHCP and then another part is going to the command in charge of the PEB concerning how they PCS'd all their Medical officers and they are completely blowing out their timelines.
