For all of you that are eligible and going to apply for the SGLI Disability Extension:
I mailed the application to the VAROIC in Philadelphia, PA on 6 Feb 2015. I called today to get a status and found out that the application is lost somewhere in the system, ha ha. Apparently, the VA is now sending SGLI disability extension apps directly to OSGLI (Prudential). In my case, however, the VA didn't transfer it and has no idea where it is, surprise, surprise.
Called OSGLI Prudential and they stated that I can send the application directly to them. Not sure what their mailing address is, but have their Ph# and email addy. You can email the application directly to their email address, per the rep on the telephone call.
