I was thinking more along the lines of you would start once you get a fit / unfit determination. I'm still waiting for AFPC to determine if it's going to be a full MEB or not. Been almost a month since it was submitted. Expecting next week or the week afterPer my PEBLO it is possible, VA C&P exams take priority over everything though. I would reach out to your education office and PEBLO to see if your base has a process for this already.
also, TIA each service implements the Skillbridge process differently. Also currently doing a Skillbridge program. @jrhoutmansr is incorrect about the number of days you are allowed. All Skillbridge programs have a maximum length of 180 days. Approval for the program is contingent on your convincing your command to sign off on it. For example, I made the case to my command that my MEB was now at the PEB and I was now just "waiting". My personal view is if you have shown that you are responsible and hard-working, a commander is likely to sign off. Happy to chat more on this topic, just PM me.
