Skillbridge with a MEB?

Has anyone done Skillbridge in conjunction with a MEB? Or know if it's possible?

Per my PEBLO it is possible, VA C&P exams take priority over everything though. I would reach out to your education office and PEBLO to see if your base has a process for this already.

I was thinking more along the lines of you would start once you get a fit / unfit determination. I'm still waiting for AFPC to determine if it's going to be a full MEB or not. Been almost a month since it was submitted. Expecting next week or the week after

Talk to your education office. Per my education office, I have to submit the training plan from the employer directly to a rep at the education office, rather than submitting via AFVEC.

I am currently completing a Skills Bridge program during the MEB/PEB phase. You actually get more benefits with it than normal, for example my Internship is for 170 days instead of the traditional 120 days. The SCP coordinator at your installation is where to begin. I am stationed in GA and I am doing the SB program in Kansas. I just arranged all my appointments with my MSC and PEBLO to be done here in KS. The company you are interning with just has to let you go to the appointments as needed. I don't have to go back to GA until I am ready to out-process and pick up my DD-214.

Also currently doing a Skillbridge program. @jrhoutmansr is incorrect about the number of days you are allowed. All Skillbridge programs have a maximum length of 180 days. Approval for the program is contingent on your convincing your command to sign off on it. For example, I made the case to my command that my MEB was now at the PEB and I was now just "waiting". My personal view is if you have shown that you are responsible and hard-working, a commander is likely to sign off. Happy to chat more on this topic, just PM me.

also, TIA each service implements the Skillbridge process differently.

Did you submit your skillbridge application through AFVEC?

This is very interesting, I imagine you need to be at a certain stage in the process? I would love to be able to do this now, instead of waiting around.

I wasn't able to do Skillbridge. I asked as soon as my board was put in and they denied me at the start, claiming I could not meet the 180 day requirement. I don't know if that's protocol for my command or if they genuinely think my Medboard will go that quick. I'm hoping for the latter.
