Something doesn't seem right here. I am being boarded for mental health and I can't help but wonder if I am being overly anxious or if my concerns are justified.
Like the title says, I've been in the IDES stage since May. My psychiatrist mentioned she wanted to recommend me for an MEB in April. I have a form from AFPC recommending me for a full MEB, dated in May with a deadline of mid-July. I completed my C&P exams in June and have been actively trying to get an update on my case since then. I am geographically separated from my PEBLO and they were incommunicado for MONTHS. Finally got to talk to them a few weeks ago and they confirmed my case has been stagnant. PEBLO confirmed that they have had my exam results since July and no one reached out to send them to me. Apparently, the MTF has been through several PEBLOs since my case started.
Received C&P exam results last week and IMO they are lacking in uniformity with medical records. Over 6 months have gone by and I feel they are based off old information. My PTSD has since worsened and my AF459 reflects that I can no longer do my primary duties, can only work during the day hours, the same hours every single day. I cannot do anything that require critical thinking or complex problem solving. Since my case started, I have had many medication changes, Botox for migraines, a recommendation for abrasion...just to name a few. I have expressed my concerns to my MSC, the ODC, and my PEBLO. I am so confused as to what point of the process I am actually in. MSC says my stuff is still with their ratings department. I still don't have my NARSUM.
I am now being told that I my 618 will be ready soon and I cannot request an IMR at this time, just a rebuttal to the NARSUM. I will also only have 3 duty days to get this rebuttal letter done. The NARSUM was written by my psychiatrist in April, and that psychiatrist has since quit and moved. I am being told that local providers at the MTF are the ones reviewing everything. Does this mean addendums? My current psychiatrist who is local to me wanted to be the one to review the NARSUM but she was told by the PEBLO that it had to be providers at the MTF. MTF is several hours away from me and I am stationed at a joint-services base. There are little to no resources for AF here in regards to this situation.
My MEB is essentially going to be based off old records and exams from 6 months ago. A lot of the conditions that I was claiming have further developed. I am obsessing over how this will effect me and everyone keeps brushing me off. I don't know what to do.
It is also important to note that my impairments due to my PTSD are incorrect on my C&P exam. The impairments she checked off are only rated 30% when I should be in the 50% category, based off everything that I am going through.
