Hey everyone! I was put on TDRL and have my one year eval coming up. I was told they’re looking for “stability” to make it PDRL. What exactly is “stability?”

To add: I was med boarded for anxiety and depression and I’ve been going to the VA regularly for MH appointments

level of occupational and social impairment stability based off the same VASRD scale for your initial disability finding, along with any recent hospitalizations/medication changes.

for example, if you were rated at 50% for MDD/GAD which corresponds to 'reduced reliability and productivity', have you post-separation been holding down a 40 hours a week job? etc, you can interpolate the rest. they're just trying to see if post-separation you have a solid track record.

the determination for tdrl/pdrl depends on if they think that in the next 3 years your level of impairment could change enough to warrant an increase or decrease in ratings. if you were at 50% the board will make a call if they think that its likely in 3 years you could change to 30% or 70% etc.
