The Navy just brought back early retirement. I have questions I currently am not on a MEB but am seeking on for combat related injuries. Since I’m not a MEB I can request the early retirement and once I get to the medical section my provider can flag me for a MEB? In my mind that would make my process streamlined and could potentially medically retire earlier then waiting to get seen at the TBI clinic and them having to do screenings and idk how long that process would take.
So let’s say I go the early retirement way with full intentions to retire and then I get to medical and they flag me right.. now since I have an approved retirement date already am I going to be allowed to get all of my pension and all my VA benefits and CRSC? No right? because I’m hitting the the retirement years based on TERA and it just so happens I’m broken too and my brokenness came from combat.
I know long post hopefully it makes sense let me know if I need to clear anything up
