Hello, been here for a little bit but haven’t posted anything this is my timeline as of now.

MEB triggered: 05Dec2022 (day before separation 06dec2022)
Claim submitted: 06Mar2023

- time in between was long due to have already submitted a claim prior with DAV as well as receiving a DD214 and having to correct everything-

C&P completed: 03aug2023

I finished C&Ps April 30th, MEB was done May 25th and sent to the PEB June 2nd. Just waiting now.

Yes, my PEBLO & Legal both said I should be getting results around now, and someone that got their package sent to the PEB (for the same condition in my command) exactly one month prior, had their results in July and are getting out this month.

My PEBLO has not contacted me yet. It's been a week since PEB started. Is that normal?

@spacememe that’s pretty normal, my peblo didn’t contact me for about 2 weeks then called to schedule my legal brief.

@Yabs, just an FYI, I got my VA findings on August 7th, and it was sent to the PEB that day, so I'm hoping that I hear from the PEB shortly.

Update: met with a jag to go over my package before being sent to PEB 19SEP23

22SEP23 was sent a document to sign before going to PEB in DC. Unable to view it and tried sending it to some of my friends to see if they’re able to fill it for me, but they can’t see on their end either. Requested to be resent document at 1300, but peblo didn’t respond. HM1 wright isn’t the best peblo due to him retiring soon.

Update: 01FEB2024 received my findings from the PEB. Rated 90% VA and 0% DoD. Going to talk to PEB lawyer and request a formal board.

lil update. PEBLO told me they got my exams back but is waiting on the last medical doctor signature. Handed over my personal statement. Waiting for it to be sent over for informal PEB. Would anyone have an idea on how much time I have left for a separation date? Thank u!

Once your VA exams are complete and you see your claim closed on VA.gov its looking like it takes approx 60 days to get results from IPEB. From there its approx. 30 days to get retirement/separation orders of which your EAOS is typically 60 days out. I am curious if I can get the date changed to an earlier date once I have mine in hand, I suppose you can 1306 ANYTHING.

@spacememe yes mine was an informal. The attorney I spoke to said since the VA rated me 50% for mental health. The formal board can find me unfit for that instead to hopefully get me to retirement

I was rated at 100% for mental health, I am hoping this puts me in the PDRL and doesn't require a re-evaluation. I have 6 other referred conditions for physical problems as well. Hoping for the best! After you're out don't forget to file for CRSC as well, make the service decide if you get it or not. Additionally, if your spouse has to help you getting dressed, medication management etc. make sure to file for VA caregiver compensation, they will pay your spouse for helping take care of you.

26Mar2024: Received date for formal board hearing on the 23rd of April

Does anyone have any advice to prep for it?

Unpopular hot take here on the "After you're out don't forget to file for CRSC as well, make the service decide if you get it or not." - If someone reads what qualifies they should know if they are eligible or not. Throwing mud at the wall and seeing what sticks may have something to do with the 6-12 month CRSC determination turn around... Again unpopular hot take

Is it normal that my PEBLO said an informal board may come back in 4 months?

@spacememe yes they will normally tell you that, I heard the same from mine. However my formal is on the 23rd of this month. 2 months after being told 4 months. They just give a rough estimate it seems.

Sweet! Hopefully just one more month then! I'm so ready to start my post Navy life.

Received my final ratings. 100%/60% Permanent retirement! Finally after 18 months.
