Good morning everyone,
I'm creating this thread to document my timeline and post any questions that arise and will edit it as things progress.
I am very very early in the process and been researching like crazy, I have so many questions that I literally not sure what to even ask yet, lol.
So I'll start from the beginning, I got diagnosed with a Aortic dilation of 4 cm and diastolic dysfunction through cardiology through 2 echocardiograms. Talked my pcm and she said she believes she has enough data to reccomend a MEB but wants to verify with the on base cardiologist. I have a strong feeling ill be pushed for a MEB, which I wouldn't mind. I'm E-6 with 12 1/2 years. My biggest concern is keeping tricare because I have a special needs 6 y/o.
Biggest question is. If I get MEB'd and get a rating over 30% I get retired and keep tricare as a normal retiree correct?
Has anyone else gone through a MEB with this condition and if so what were the fit for duty results and %?
Timeline:
17 Feb 2021 - informed through PCM of likely MEB
