I keep seeing people say tricare premiums are waived for medically retired. I can’t find any information regarding medical retirement on tricare’s website regarding fees. I retired in March and am paying the enrollment fees quarterly but they are taken monthly from my retirement. Are those supposed to be waived? I might be confusing enrollment fees and premiums?
Only Tricare Select premiums are waived. If you are Tricare Prime they are not waived.
If I'm medically retired and I enroll in Tricare Select, is my family able to get coverage as well?
Yes I’m tricare select, I think what’s happening is they are only waived for group a and I’m group b.
Yes, take them to a deers office and get them retired id cards and you can sign them up for tricare when you sign up
