TRIPLER TIMELINE

Are you currently out processing? How did it work for you once they found you unfit?
No, Its my understanding that you can't start outprocessing until you have orders which only happens after you sign your 199. I started a CSP program and am just doing that while I wait.

That's correct, also once you get your orders it will be generic. Such as your date of separation will be exactly 90 days from the day you receive your orders with no leave or anything accounted for. You will have to submit all your leave and get an amended set of orders and if you have more than the given 90 days to seperate you have to get it approved through Fort Sam Houston. That's what I did and it was still pretty quick, started clearing about a week after getting my orders and the amendment.

Same I'm still waiting on the VA to rate my claim. I call every day and its in the "decision phase".... I also got found unfit by PEB the same time as y'all
Any good news yet? I called my PEBLO and she said that she's gotten proposed ratings from several people that haven't been waiting as long as I have. I'm starting to get frustrated and I think my MSC is dropping the ball....

What about you? Have you heard anything yet?
Nothing when I call the Va the give me same script of calling my msc all I know is I’m in decision phase but I’ve been in it for like 3 weeks don’t know if they’ve assigned a rater

Update but not really I decided to call my MSC for the first time and she basically said the Va has been trying to send me mail but I moved recently so it’s all being returned to sender and she’s doesn’t know why they haven’t gotten to my case but she sent them a message Iguess … I had a guy in my company who sent up his package to peb a month after me with 40 claims and he’s has ratings before me

Ya I got my ratings back for the VA and DOD and accepted the 19 AUG, just waiting on orders now.

I'm sorry your stuff has been moving at a snails pace. You can try calling the VA claim status line at 1(800)-827-1000. If they say "A proposed rating has been decided" and they are "trying to notify you" then you can ask for a copy of the letter to be emailed to you so you can at least see what they rated you at. Hell also bring up the change of address and see if you can update that over the phone too.

Thats awesome! Congrats! I went yesterday and talked to the MSC supervisor and the IDES director and basically was told in so many words that there is nothing anyone can do except wait for whichever rater has my claim to finish it. I even submitted a hardship form and a VA form 20-10702 because I have a purple heart and supposedly that qualifies you for priority processing. The VA told me that priority processing doesn't apply to me because I'm still active duty and not technically a veteran. Its always something...haha

Someone was telling me that once your claim becomes "backlogged" its a numbers game. Its easier and better for the VA to knock out less complicated claims and stop them from becoming "backlogged" than it is to address the already "backlogged" claims. I don't know if its true but at least its an explanation...haha!

Yea that’s what my MSC pretty much told me is am stuck in the back log but I wish they would clarify is someone working on my case and it’s just taking long or no one has touched and I’ll be waiting another two months on ratings

From my MSC -
Yes, unfortunately there is a backlog of cases waiting for Proposed Ratings.
I was advised they hope to get to the case by next month or October at the
latest.

When did you sign your NARSUM and when were you found "unfit" by the PEB?

Signed narsum June 26th and found unfit July 14th
I just checked the VA app this morning and saw my claim was closed! Hopefully you aren't too far behind. Just FYI, I really don't know if it made any difference but I submitted a hardship memo and my claim closed 3 days later. Maybe it helped or maybe it didn't!

I got exactly the same answer from my MSC. My packet submitted July 5th and still waiting for ratings from VA. Nothing shows up on VA app.
