A few changes at the AF FPEB. They are now scheduling 5 boards in the morning and 5 in the afternoon in an effort to clear the backlog of cases. This has resulted in a few developments. The board is much more time constrained, so they really are pushing for the cases to be presented in a concise manner. They are also not conducting an outbrief (i.e., announcing their decision at the conclusion of the hearing), but instead are issuing the findings (often the next day).

I will post more at some point on what I see as the practical impact of these changes.

I have been waiting for a date for my Formal PEB report date and just got it today. My case was sent to the informal board the week of 16 Aug, and I got the results 20 September (they recommended TDRL). I signed my non-concurrence 30 Sept.

Interesting that they still have me scheduled almost two months out. I'm guessing the backlog was bigger than expected?
