What to expect after MEB referral?

That’s what they told me. I have everything it’s based on psychiatric treatment but my injury is from an Airborne operation. But I’m just here to learn as much as I can from everyone here and share my process
That’s the thing I kept pulling and I don’t see anything like that however I’m in the process the next thing that’s alarming was I saw that another provider from Substance abuse updated it and placed her signature there. I’ve never seen that. Just today my PCM told me there’s a permanent profile and I’m in a MEB process. I knew he wasn’t saying anything wrong because I meet with my peblo on Tuesday and I already did IDES/legal briefing
nice . You’re about to have the ball rolling . And having another doctor on the profile it’s normal for MEB. That doctor more likely works at MEB . Since they have to approve you to enter IDES . And since you mention your case is for psychiatric treatment maybe that’s why it’s a substance abuse doctor . But I wouldn’t worry too much about it . Relax and enjoy the ride

Update I was emailed about my P3 she said I'll get a call in 10Days to see if I meet the requirements for MEB basically. I personally think it will be kicked back because I didn't recieve treatment for a year and but did have treatment consistently prior to PCS for about a year and when I did PCS the care I received I didn't like the person I was seeing she mad me feel worse so I stopped.
The most of not they’ll probably recommend you for a fit for duty being that you had that condition for a while.
I have no idea at what stage my package is at or even the process for this. Getting information from the medical staff is extremely difficult. I have had one meeting with the medical officer that starting the process. I have had no medical appointments, legal appointments or anything else. am I suppose to be meeting with legal early on in this process? I am really confused and frustrated. This has been going on well over a year and I have never received one update. I get asked for more medical records from time to time but that is it. I have now entered my 19th year and would love to drag this out until I hit my 20. I am sure there must be some appeals along the way that might drag it out but I do not know them. I am Air Force Reserve
Any information you can provide as to the process in the Air Force Reserve would be helpful. My case has been going on for sometime.. I have not had any c&p exams or appointments with legal. I am now in my 19th year and am hoping that this will continue to drag out until I hit my 20. I heard there are appeals processes but I do not know them. I am getting very frustrated.
There should be an ombudsman assigned to your area. You can try to reach . They’re really great help
I am AF Reserve. I have no idea where I stand in this MEB process. Recently I was told that I had to have a new Commanders statement since I have changed Commanders. I was notified about this by phone I have yet to see the form to sign.
Update: Friday my PEBLO called and basically went over the MEB packet. I signed it even though they down played the MST they have a sentence “SGT [Nane redacted] said he was married and SM consented.” it was not, this really bothered me bc I have all the evidence to prove it wasn’t. Legal wouldn’t answer or email me back and now I’m waiting for PEB. Hurry up and wait is real with MEB lol.
Throughout this entire MEB I have seen some statements from people who I’ve had encountered with. They put things in your record and only then you’ll realize and question yourself what is this system designed to do? Tarnish my existence and my credibility.
Let me tell you man you don’t wanna see what my commander wrote in my documents. If that was supposed to help decide my case I’d be screwed. Totally BS just be proactive and keep on top of your things
So ratings should be already done. What this means is that PEB has to request your ratings to be released to them and then the PEB will release them to your peblo, and the your peblo will release them to you.
If you login to the va, and you see a change was made , call the va and ask for your ratings( they might not give them to you) i had to call 3 times before someone actually did give me my ratings. Because theyre not supposed to gove them to you
Okay, thank you for explaining that to me. I’m trying to be patient I keep telling myself good things take time. I’ll try and all them tomorrow to see if I’m lucky. Again, thank you for the response. I’m also nervous PEB will find me fit for duty.
Dont be too hard on yourself. Just be positive, remember that if MEB already found you unfit PEB most likely will tag along . Theres a small chance it will be different, but dont stress over it
