For the attention of Mike Parker, if he has time to review this.

Request confirmation the following figures are correct. I believe this is a case (on and after 1 January 2013) where no CRSC is payable. I believe the significant factors to be: the DoD disability payment ($4584) is much more than either the LOS or CRSC aspects of the case.

Information used:
VA: 90% (wife and (1)3 children under 18)
DoD disability: (2)70%
CRSC: (3)80%
LOS: (4)17 yr 8 mo
High three: (5)$6548.10
Dod Disability pmt at 70%(6): $4583.67
The entitlement ON AND AFTER (6)1 January 2013: (MOVE ON DOWN TO THE BOTTOM FOR MY CASE/QUESTIONS) (#) Refers to my questions/data...
-------------------------------

1. VA 90% wife & 2 children (1 is over 18 about to be in college living at home)
2. I don't receive DOD Disability? Last Permanent Rating 30%. I received 50% @ TDRL. <- Is this why? VA is higher than DoD so I get the VAs? I thought somewhere in the fine print that was suppose to go away in 2014? Or was that just regular retirement/VA?
3. Received CSRC Today in mail: 60%
4. LOS: 17yrs 6 months
5. If my calculations are correct (High 3 ( 3282,3435.60,3483.60 * 2.5% ) = 3400.01 + 85.01 = $3485.02
6. I DON'T GET THIS?! Am I suppose to?(Is this because I get more from the VA?)
7. CRSC Effective Date: Jul 2011

Overall just to get this far. I am happy, to get satisfaction. I will confess, its getting harder for me to keep focus.

Did you try this calculator? It shows your total projected benefit of $3222.57 if your DoD is 30% and it does not change at 50% (your TDRL)

One quick question, are you able to, or do you plan on obtaining employment? You may want to request IU from the VA to get paid at the 100% rate.

If you were able to get IU, your projected monthly income would be $4415 per month to include your CRSC payment.

As a matter of fact. I have paperwork in for unemployability in already. so am I to to understand that will be roughly 7000$/mth?

I gotcha, I plugged the numbers in and I see how they work now. It really helps seeing how much that CRSC % is. Now what about RETRO?

Retro will also be calculated by DFAS, you should be looking at roughly $1200 per month or so, each year may be slightly different based upon the VA numbers, your dependents, etc.

Jul 2011 to Feb 2016 is 55 months, so you should be looking at about $65K or so

I'm sorry SAY WHAT!!! $65K!
