I am posting my Med-board timeline here to compare with other peoples timelines and hopefully get a clearer answer than what I have gotten from the PSD-MED

Receipt of medboard - 11/21/19

Adjudication complete - 4/30/20

Findings - 05/04/20

I returned 4808 (after I messed up one of the boxes, and was told “it will get back moving”) - 06/10/20

requested update - 09/01/20 - told it is in legal review.

requested one more update 09/28/20, was told it is still in legal review.

How long did the legal review portion take for any of you? I’m hoping to receive orders next month if the estimated timeline is accurate. Any thoughts?

Hello,

Was surprised to see a fellow Coastie on here, thanks for sharing your timeline. As for your question I was told by my JAG that it is right around 3.5 months from the day you accept your findings, but as always it could go longer. I do not know the exact time frame it will take in legal review, however there is a message (general) that was released in March of this year that breaks down time frames to some extent (can't remember the details of this message). Let us know please I am in the middle of a PEB and would like some experienced feedback of what I am to expect from any and everyone. I have been waiting for findings since 08/6/2020 and I am hopeful they are going to come quick, good luck shipmate.

Been waiting still everyday I come into work for orders. It's honestly starting to feel ridiculous. I don't understand why it takes this long to go through a "legal sufficiency check." I was crossing my fingers for them last month, and now I'm crossing my fingers for them again in December. My end of enlistment date is 29Jan21 and If I end up stuck in longer than that, It will be very frustrating. I decided I am going to waive the 4 month orders and request 30 day ones instead. I know this makes it difficult for dealing with the VA but I don't particularly care. I got 50% disability and on the PDRL. I also can't get in contact with the Ombudsman, I sent her an email 3 weeks ago that I never received a response to, and have attempted to call the last couple days with no luck. This whole process is so beyond my level of patience now. Apologies for the rant but I assume most people probably feel somewhat similar. Does anyone know anything about the legal stuff taking a long time?

I hear ya completely our process is very dragged out. I contacted the Ombudsman today and she told me things are going slow right now (assuming is COVID-19 related). I am trying to keep perspective and stay the course, all we can really do. Keep up the good find ship mate. If you don't mind me asking what are you being retired for?

I am no expert just a normal guy, but if I were you (getting the cold shoulder) I might look at their organization in global and cc a boss. Just a thought, might get the fire lit and what not. However, this might stir up the hive and you need to evaluate your own risk/reward. Good luck.

I didn’t know you could waive the 4 month orders? How do you request that?

I don't have it in front of me but if you go to the portal (CG Portal) and enter into the search bar PSC-med this will take you to the interactive site (should be first link). Within this portal supported site you should find copies of request memo's and instructions on how to use said memo's (I believe this is under a resource folder within the platform). If this is overly complicated or you get lost the Ombudsman is there for issues like this, I recommend you shoot her an email early as she has stressed she uses the first hour of her day to catch up. Good luck
