IDES Timeline

Yeah, good ole’ NPTU. They sure as hell do. that’s probably the most accurate comparison lmao. you here too?
Yup been here almost 4 years, but when I got med boarded they put me at the airbase working with the Airforce. I am lucky, they are nice. I used to drive the boats infront of the subs or check ID's if they wanted to punish me.

sounds about right. I’ve been with the command almost 2 years, terrible time to say the least lmao. been on medhold for almost a year. I just can’t wait to get the hell away from SC

Quick question for y'all, because I keep getting conflicting answers from people who have never been through a medboard.

If I'm rated 0% for my condition (all they have it listed as is leg pain), which is obviously a very real possibility. In terms of severance- if I'm rated other named conditions that are a result of the leg pain, and they change my overall rating, do I have to pay it back? (Ex. Referred condition, left leg pain. Worse stuff happens in my left leg and I Get more of a solid diagnosis later down the line and it ends up changing my overall rating.)

Any July People get findings recently it seems like no one has been getting findings recently.
I am a June case. Didn’t get findings, but got word today that my case left the MO and is now in adjudication, and I should have my results within the week

NPTU sailor here. Just finished VA appts. I'm having a hard time reaching my PEBLO, what should I expect next? Thanks!
I’m at NPTU as well, September submission. She can barely be reached by phone, never by email. If you want to speak with her, you have to go in.

Are you at Charleston too? I know they use the nuke students for all the dirty work there. It's like you are on restriction huh.
I’m in San Diego. I’m thinking at this point I’ll just enroll in WarOps at the hospital and do my FEP there. At least I won’t have to be at my command for pt. Trying to make lemonade out of lemons here lol

When I’m June did your case get submitted if you don’t mind my asking?

She is retiring soon too so her replacement is next door to her too. Yah the only time I got ahold of her is in person. But that is iffy too. 11-12 she is at lunch. She will call you to come in when they have all your stuff written up, you go over it and check to see if everything is ok. If not, have her get it reviewed by a different Dr. Most of the time they won't change it. They didn't for me.

Finally got my DD214 last week! Got it sent in to my VA rep so they’ll have it on file. Official retirement is this Friday!

Big question now will be to see if I get an MHA payment (GI Bill BAH) on February 1st since I’m in grad school. I’ve been using my GI Bill for awhile, but now I’ll finally be a veteran rather than active duty. And the best part is that even though my classes are online, one of them is considered by the VA to be “resident training” thanks to Covid, so I’ll actually get the Boston BAH rate this semester.

Fuck. I forgot she’s retiring. hopefully the new one will be on top of shit and not lose track of cases that are 120+ days like mine lmao

164 days MO. PEBLO says expect news in the next two weeks. Any idea what he knows? He won't tell me
I was told the same thing, and we are only a couple days apart, so something is happening. Was told I’m in adjudication too, so has to be close

I'm also in grad school but thought I would only get the remote bah when i get out. How do you determine if the class is considered by the VA to be resident training?

So something told me today to look at the tracker to see if my peblo was correct in supposedly sending my stuff at the PEB in august.......looks like it took a month and was with the MO starting September 29th not August :-/.

There's a gap between submission and being placed with the medical officer.
