I am currently going through the PEB process. My PEBLO sent my MEB package to IPEB on 13 Jun 24. She said that the Action Officer has 48 hrs from the time she submits the package to open it and start working on it which would put it to today (17 Jun) at the latest for the Action Officer to start. My PEBLO also stated that the Action Officer has 12 duty days to decide fit/unfit and if unfit then they reach out to the VA for the ratings and the VA has 16 duty days to send those back making it a total of 28 duty days for me to find out if I am fit or unfit. I only have 1 condition they are considering for MEB. Is the 28 duty days realistic for only 1 condition?

I am still waiting on my results, but I do know for sure that the VA has my case and they can see that I am in IDES. I've been putting in requests to the VA for an update. They usually get back within a day. If you log in to your VA account and go to Contact Us->Ask VA-.Create New Inquiry, you can put in a request. Under the first category click Compensation, then under topic section, click Status of pending claim, then the rest is self explanatory.Do you have any insight or updates on the length of time it took for you?

Let's say you put Email for your contact method (there's a drop down where you can change it to phone or something else before submitting inquiry), whatever your email is on your account, you will get an email stating that the VA has responded and then you can login and the status would have changed from "New" to "Solved". Thank you!! I went back into va.gov and found the response. It looks like they are still waiting on the fit or unfit decision. I have called va numerous times and the answers I received were very vague. The inquiry response actually gave me some clarity and peace of mind. Any updates for y'all? I will be finding out my ratings today and will be signing. I was able to get my claim letter from the VA and I have a proposed combined rating of 90% which means my MEB condition is probably 70%. When I found out my claim was closed I was told that they were mailing my letter the next day and that I should have access to my online letter the next day. I didn't so I called this morning and thankfully the individual was great and emailed my claim letter right away which had my proposed combined rating.Thank you!! I went back into va.gov and found the response. It looks like they are still waiting on the fit or unfit decision. I have called va numerous times and the answers I received were very vague. Honestly, I was more nervous for the fit/unfit decision than the ratings because I couldn’t imagine another 4 years of having to deal with the military and my conditions. That being said, I called the VA this AM too and was given the standard, “no proposed ratings…contact your MSC because you are going through the DES process…etc”. Honestly, I would like for them to speed up the propososed rating process but I am okay just knowing it is almost over with. Congratulations again!Any updates for y'all? I was the same way. I was more worried about the fit/unfit portion. But then I was just anxious to know what my rating was.

Keep me in the loop of this, my ratings went up yesterday to the IPEB and i'm in the same boat. I need them to speed it up i have a job waiting for me that starts on 30 Sep 2024 and my DOS is 20 Jul 2024 so i just signed an extension for this....Congratulations!!! Yes. The 1180 is the form that you will be signing stating that you agree to the findings or want to appeal the findings.
