LOOKING AT THESE PEB ORDERS WOULD YOU SAY I HAVE OVER 20 YEARS RESERVES?

I see 2 different years

I Did some active duty time and some reserve time (see attached orders)
1. Total Service in GREEN = 9 years
2. Basic Pay in RED = 22 years

it's strange because Army HRC telling me I have under 20 years and i'm not entitled to a 20 year letter although i try to show them the error on the DA5016

They are calculating years into AFS. My wife was AGR. Her's looks the same. Pay 20 years. The rest is 1405 converted and AFS.

Everything looks good on those docs.

But your wife was able to get a 20 year letter right?

Looking at your DA5016 were you collecting any VA disability payments towards the end of your career? Cause it is showing incomplete years from 20220529-20240529. Remember if you missed any training and didn't make it up or missed Annual Training or had a bad year that can affect you for the FY.

Yes. She had 20 good years. Your statement doesn't show 20 good years. It shows less than that. Are you sure you met the requirement every year to get a good year to include 50 points?

Also, do you even need it? My wife was approved for CRSC and it maxed out her compensation meaning her 20 year letter will do nothing for her. She is already maxed out and made complete by CRSC. Also, do you have any breaks in service or went from AD to Reserve/Guard? It could be that you had a partial year that didn't meet the requirement for a full good year.

Have you applied for CRSC? Have you ran the numbers to see what amount you are actually missing out on comparing what you get now to earned longevity pension + VA disability? If your DOD% payout is higher than the combination of your VA compensation + longevity earned pension you are already maxed out. If you are missing out on money due to the VA offset do you know how much or if CRSC can help you claw that amount back?

The 20 year letter thing may be a moot issue.

That's what's strange to me, The PEB Orders I attached seem to be saying 22 years. But HRC is saying 19 that's the Delima. But to your point about do I really even need the 20 year letter, I probably don't and I'm super glad I went through the MEB otherwise I would be fighting HRC for these point just to get a retirement at 60.

I plan on applying for CRSC, I'm just waiting for a few more PACT ACT conditions to get approved by VA
so far I have these 2 presumptive:
Rhinitis -10%
Gerd/IBs- 40%
Fibromyalgia- pending rating
Chronic Fatigue- pending rating

I had stopped going because my points record was showing 20 years. But they did a re-calculation in 2024 and says i had 19 years all because some dude at HRC change my PEBD date. It has nothing to do with VA. My PEBD has never changed since I joined the service in 2002, but these fools change it to include "delay entry program date" as you can see on the DAform. It should start with 20021007. Once you change the PEBD everything changes.

Okay. Well that can happen. My wife lost 200 points because they calculated some things wrong. She went from enlisted to officer and reserves to AGR and somehow they messed it up. Didn't get found until the audit. That's why you don't stop until you are audited and get the 20 year letter. Once they issue it then they can't take it back.

You would need to contact HRC and ask them to look at it again. Without the 1405 showing 20 good years you won't get a 20 year letter.

That was what I was thinking happened or if he had pulled VA in lieu of pay they sometimes don’t track the good years as well and it sometimes has to be manually adjusted to reflect a good drill status. I always advise all my soldiers that until they have that 20 year letter please keep coming to training.

ohh your wife lost points too...yeah, you got a good point, keep going until you get the 20 year letter. I got the medical retirement, so i'll just let by gone be by gone.
