2025-09-24: iPERMS Decision Letter Posted

The decision letter has removed all references to the Barring Act (for those of you wondering), but it says my effective date is August of 2014, so I'm trying to stay positive in light of my worries about the wording of the Soto guidance. I guess now I just need to worry about DFAS ignoring the effective date assigned by the Army. And I have to wait on DFAS to receive it and do their thing. Fingers crossed they manage to pull it off before 1 October.

I can already tell they screwed up my active duty time by over a year - can I get some advice on how to request a reconsideration of total AD points? According to their sheet I have 4 years, 5 months. I have 1996 reserve points - by my math, that comes out to 5 years 6 months. That results in over $100 a month less. How do I fix this, and should I do it now or wait until I get the official decision?
 
Wait, now I'm not sure.

Do they go by the line "SVC PCT MULT" (which says 5 years, 4 months) or "TOT ACT SVC" (which says 4 years, 5 months)?

Did you get that huge backpay back to your 2014 Effective date now that they 6 year limit is gone?

The statement says the start date was 2014 but I have no way of knowing if this is 6 years worth with more coming or if it's the total amount. I'm assuming it's the entire amount, but I'm not sure.
