IDES Transition phase - Timeline question

All,
I have completed my MEDBOARD and I am being medically retired. Process went well and I got all I expected, so quite happy.
Have a couple quick questions on the transition phase.

1. I recently signed my final DA199. PEBLO told me last night he would "post it" today (Wednesday 26NOV25 - day before Thanksgiving). When should expect final signature on the 199? Today? Friday after Thanksgiving (are people even working then)? Monday Dec 1st? Or later?

2. With the above in mind, when should I expect to see my PDIR published? Same time as 199 final signatures?

3. Also, what is in a PDIR? Can anyone share one to see what it looks like?

4. I understand that when the PDIR is published, it lists a 90-day NLT date for last day in the Army. Only will have 59 day Leave accrued by my math and understand getting the free 10 days ISAA and 10 days TAA to take before/in-conjunction with Terminal. So I won't be in a position to ask to extend past the 90 day NLT date. But I understand I can request my last day earlier (less than the 90-day mark), so as to get out close to end of month (I understand why). Does that sound correct?

5. I was told, that when the PDIR is published, I will only have 26 days from the date it is published to transition. Is that correct or is it from the date retirement order is published? Was told that the 27th day MUST be the beginning on ISAA/TSA/Terminal Leave. I seem to remember seeing that in the DODi and an Army Directive. Is that correct? Is that a hard limit? Can you take more than the 26 days to do activities and then start ISAA/TSA/Terminal?

Thank you!

If you are approved for leave and tdy leave that doesn't allow you to use all if up before your NLT you can fill out a DA4187 and put in the comments that you need NLT date extended to allow you to use all of your leave. That form requires an O6 signature. Your PEBLO should be well versed in guiding you through this as its common in the Army. Your leadership has to be on board with signing off though. Normally you have I think its 5 days but (don't quote me on the timeline) from the date of your original orders to submit this form to have HRC amend your orders to push the NLT date back to allow you to use all of your 20 TDY leave + accrued leave.

Medical retirements are the only retirements that are allowed to start on days other than the 1st of the month for this reason. Its not always possible for injured or sick Soldiers to use there leave. My wife got her orders amended to push out the NLT date for her chapter 61 retirement. Her NLT date was pushed out to November 20th for example.

Thanks for sharing all this info.

We will see how the math all works out for the end timeline. I may have enough Leave and free TDY days to ask for the extension of the 90-day NLT date. Thankfully, I have an O6 boss that will certainly sign the 4187 request if I go that route.

Saw the packet under Resources. Thanks again!

Hey, Did your PEBLO send you your PDIR? or did HRC send it to you?
I signed my DA199 11/24 and havent heard anything

I also signed my DA199 on 11/24. Found out PEBLO didn't send it up in the system until Wednesday (11/26).

So this was odd. Got a call from an NCO working at the US Army Physical Disability Agency on Monday afternoon (12/1). He was working on my final DA199 (getting the last signature) and my PDIR (both dated 11/26). He said he could not transmit both back to PEBLO as I am ARNG on AGR orders and my last order in my file showed as ending on 31AUG25. Now I was put me on a new order to keep me on Active Duty starting 01SEP25. He needed that order for my file. So he texted me his email, and then I sent him the order.

He was nice enough to just email me back my DA199 with final signature and PDIR that night (12/1).
My PEBLO just sent me them this morning (12/3).

So officially, I got it from my PEBLO this morning.
I would give your PEBLO a call to see where you stuff is.
