    Langley AFB ANG timeline

I got the notification from the PEBLO today that my orders should show up in PRDA within 24 hours. Just checked PRDA, orders are there for a 21 July 2026 retirement totaling 20 years and 4 days. It's finally over. Bittersweet, but it's over.

Just looked at MyFSS and my disability case has been closed since 31 March, 2026. I'm assuming orders will shortly follow. It's finally getting real!

Just got that today. I'm 40% DOD, 100% P&T VA rating. My PEBLO also spoke with AFPC since I'm so close with PTDY, Terminal, etc. He stated that AFPC said they would verify all of my information and basically delay my orders for a couple weeks to get me to my 20 year mark. I'm happy about that...

10 March 2026: Got the second MyFSS email. . . I'm still hoping I can make it to July with leave etc.... it'll be difficult, but possibly doable. Then I can medically retire with 20 years on July 19, 2026... hopefully.

Anyone Ever Had a Total Knee Replacement and Stayed In-Service

Honestly, I have osteoarthritis in my right knee. Unit fitness guy wanted me to get a knee replacement when I was 32... I said no. My chief did get a total knee replacement at the end of his career and they let him stay in until his retirement. Civil service for 15 years and guard for 19. If...

    Activated Reservist potential MEB

I had a surgery on my knee, which extended my MEB process. I got notice of the MEB on the same day I had surgery. That put my MEB back by a few months. My orders ended on Dec 31, 2025. Since i was in the MEB Process, they extended my orders to the end of my enlistment with the agreement of when...

Decision guidance for MEB at 19 years in the National Guard

Signed my 618 today. Hopefully I can hit the 20-year mark. It's doable. I just may have to kick the can a little bit. The VA has my proposed ratings, but I can't find them out yet. The Peblo said that may make things run faster since they've already calculated my ratings... that's normally...

Decision guidance for MEB at 19 years in the National Guard

It was something different. After about 3 or 4 years, they finally updated my records to show my deployments and title 10 orders to give me 15 months worth of early retirement. So instead of retiring at 60, I can retire at 58 years and 9 months old now.

Decision guidance for MEB at 19 years in the National Guard

Ok. Just got an email from MyFSS (air force) and it’s about retirement. Not stating anyone got the MEB/PEB package. It’s asking to input orders and 214’s. Is this what the first MyFSS email is supposed to look like? Everyone always says “I got my first MyFSS email”. It they don’t state what it...

    MEB QUESTION

They asked me about my knees. I have osteoarthritis in my right knee. WWD disqualifier. They said I have two options. I can try to make it another 2 years (to make 20 and retire) or i can try the MEB. I asked for the MEB. I'm also a maintainer and was in the same position as you. Body giving...
