    MEB or Just Retire?

I would pursue to medically retire, to not just get Tricare, but CRSC and depending on your percentage, your high 3 may be high enough to get some residual pay with CRSC. If you just retire now, I think CRSC will not apply to you, until your on retirement pay status, which is 60 in your case...

Thanks Jmc81, I used the high 3 from what abcc used, was it accurate with their numbers? Idk about the amount going up, but I can call and see what they say. One thing for sure is we do get COLA increases on our DR pay. Thank you for the info

Thanks Jmc81, glad you got all your paperwork and back pay. I have one for you, on the packet, does it give you the amount of money you can make yearly so you don’t lose the DR pay? Also, does it give you an option to buy back military time ? Thank you

    Can commander force Legacy DES?

When I started the process for MEB, I was counseled, in the statement they gave me the option to choose, and explained the process of each one. So, I would assume they can’t choose for you. This was in 2020

Title 32 Technician Medical Retirement Scenarios (Please limit posts to "Technician Medical Retirements")

By any chance have you applied for CRSC? If you’ve been to the Middle East, there’s a presumptive list of medical conditions that could help you get approved. It’s tax free money, and will get back paid if approved, but timelines on that are around 3 months. It use to be like 1.5 months, hope...

Title 32 Technician Medical Retirement Scenarios (Please limit posts to "Technician Medical Retirements")

I got my denial on the 4 month of when I sent the packet, and on the next month I got interim pay, it back paid me like only 3 months so far, so they still owe me, but that comes after they approve the DR. But like Jmc81 brought up a while back, they are swamped with applications. But, keep...

I couldn’t find anything about this, but it seems like you’ll get your actual retirement, so it shouldn’t offset if your approved ssdi. Like Jmc81 said for FERS DR we do get offset as it’s early and DR. Honestly you should get both. If approved, your 55 so at 62 you’ll get changed to regular SS...

Can I still work the same job?

Of course you can, but if you get the Tech Disability retirement, you can’t surpass 80% of your high 3. If you do you’ll lose your DR benefits. Also, if it’s another government job, you lose your DR benefits.

Ok, that is crazy as they should be using your VA percentage, but depending how long you’ve had the rating, you’ll have to get another C&P exam. This is interesting, keep us posted. Thank you
