    Pediatrician as VA examiner

I don't know your examiners exact board certifications (you can search ABIM & AEM boards) but most Peds EM fellowships require prior training in a three-year residency in either General Pediatrics (Peds) or Emergency Medicine (EM). So, the providers background should be sufficient to examine...

PEB results and ratings for your review

Got it. I'm a combination of all statuses. Total retirement points are above 17. TAFMS doesn't show that but PCARS does. That's why i was asking how they calculated it

I have a question for you. On your findings form on line 7 up top. "7. 10 USC 1208 SERVICE = 18.93" Is that your TAFMS from vMPF or is that a calculation based on your PCARS points for retirement ? Thanks,

Surprise MEB w/19 yrs 8 mos service

He "should have" done a SHPE physical which would give him those same ratings. I say should because my service seems to keep overlooking that this is a title 10 1145 USC requirement.

While i am AF and not Marine Corps...do you happen to have that MARADMIN document? I've been wondering, since the DOD still approves TERA...could you petition the service secretaries for an exemption.

    Hickam MEB Process -PTSD/BIPOLAR/ANXIETY ETC

Well best of luck...if Your case actually gets reviewed. Every time I go by the office the doors closed. I didn’t know you could do two programs. Did you do them at two different locations?

    Hickam MEB Process -PTSD/BIPOLAR/ANXIETY ETC

Good luck. I’m starting the process now. That PEBLO office is understaffed. The Hickam Med group leadership doesn’t think the PEBLO is an important position. I’m surprised they don’t have a full time GS-12 or Officer full time in there. Instead they place an NCO & first term airman in the...

    Eight year rule

Thanks Jason for chiming in on this one. Fishmom look up AFI 36-2910 5.2; and 5.2.6. Speaks to not needing SAF approval to keep you on extended order if you are in the DES. “Unless the member is entered into the DES IAW AFI 41-210”

    Medical Standards Directory [Deleted]

Here is the latest Air Force MSD dated this month. The biggest point is; Airmen with any degree of obstructive sleep apnea do NOT require an IRILO if their symptoms are well controlled using a PAP machine or oral positional devices. Deployment waiver may still be required per COCOM reporting...
