Title 32 Technician Medical Retirement Scenarios (Please limit posts to "Technician Medical Retirements")

Hello, in my case I didn't get my approval of DR or intriem pay. When I called OPM it never went anywhere. If you haven't received an approval a month or two after the OPM denial you should call the army benefits center they will be more helpful than OPM.

My DR is all completed, they sent me my password for online. The back pay number seemed off other than that everything else is all good just took along time. Do we not pay social security or Fers every month out of the payment?hope it goes good for everyone. Finally over yes!!!

Yeah your right. I was rated 100%just mental health 60%for other stuff VA and SSDI denied me. I didn't go to there exam either so that might have had an impact on it. I think it's best for me to work I'm not sure how it will work out but some form of work would be best.

Also SSDI has different standards, it's more difficult to get than Fers disability. To get SSDI it's like saying your not capable of working anywhere due to disability.

Yes it happens pretty often from what I've read. The first year it's offset 100% so no extra money. After the first year you collect part of SSDI, something like 40%.

I haven't been home for the last week but up until I left I had not received a password not even an approval. I did get a letter to elect health insurance.

The legal administrative specialist emailed me week ago that my DR is really close to being completed, but they didn't have proof of applying for SSDI again so sent that again. They told me it would be done the end of this week most likely but I was more than little sceptical. But I noticed a...

That does seem to be true statement. Either my congressional inquiry or contacting army benefits center helped me out. ABC called up OPM to get a update for me about then things started moving for me. Whenever I called OPM I would get an operator that didn't have the answers and would ask me to...

That seems right they denied the normal DR now it will be processed as the special provisions. I was under the impression if you meet the time age requirements for early retirement it went that way over DR but don't quote me on that. I would think your HR would have told you if you were going to...

No don't have that either, think my DR is not going the way they usually go. If what they say is true from the time I submitted my paperwork for DR with my HR to finalization should be 10 months.

So I received paperwork from OPM health insurance specialist asking if I'd like to keep the same insurance plan I had and make it retroactive to February 7 when I lost it or start in this month August. It also had an option if I wanted to cancel/suspend, if I take that option I can never use...

Everything jesusej19 is right on the money. After you are denied seems like month later you get approved and few weeks later intriem pay starts. My DR has not been going through good I never received intriem pay and it at a stand still with no answers. Mine may have fallen though the cracks but...

Title 32 Technician Medical Retirement Scenarios (Please limit posts to "Technician Medical Retirements")

Sounds like you might get a medical retirement on the military side. Not sure I've read on here that they do all new claims with the MEB. Some of the moderators on here have good information ask them, post a question. That was something I was worried about because I had a good rating and didn't...

Here is the breakdown of Fers supplement. With 25 years you would be paid .625 x your social security at 62. I did hear that the government was wanting to rent the supplement to save money but maybe it never went anywhere.

Title 32 Technician Medical Retirement Scenarios (Please limit posts to "Technician Medical Retirements")

I cut this from a fedtalk article: Under FERS, if involuntarily separated from technician service due to disability or other reason by employing agency, they are entitled to an immediate annuity after reaching age 50 and completing 25 years of creditable service if first hired before February...

I called OPM and actually spoke with someone again. I was told I was approved back in April for my DR. I told her I never received a letter stating that. It sounds like I am waiting on final adjudication to work it. Although I have been told incorrect things before. I told her I never received...
