    VA Finalization

I was given my final copy prior to retirement, before that I got the draft to confirm no errors. I called the va after I got out to make sure they’ve got it and they confirmed so I don’t think that’s the holdup

Still haven’t finalized my VA ratings

I’m seeing people everywhere posting they’ve already gotten their ratings back who got out after me. Hopefully it won’t take so long for you!

Still haven’t finalized my VA ratings

Any suggestions on who or if I should contact someone? I retired March 29, my claim was opened April 2, and moved to evidence gathering and review on April 12 (yes they have my dd214). I’ve been at the preparing for decision stage since at least June. I’ve called the 1800 number several times...

    VA Finalization

Do you mind sharing how you got that email? I retired March 29, submitted my dd214 prior to that and confirmed the va has it, and am at decision pending. I’ve called the VA and vera but they both just tell me it’s been assigned to a rating team and ready to be rated. I’m not sure what the hold...

    Tricare enrollment fees

Yes I’m tricare select, I think what’s happening is they are only waived for group a and I’m group b.

    Tricare enrollment fees

I keep seeing people say tricare premiums are waived for medically retired. I can’t find any information regarding medical retirement on tricare’s website regarding fees. I retired in March and am paying the enrollment fees quarterly but they are taken monthly from my retirement. Are those...

How long until VA reopens case

I did, unfortunately they ‘didn’t know how the process worked’. Today my closed claims changed so hopefully it’s in the works. Will just have to wait it out

How long until VA reopens case

Thanks! My retirement date was 3/31. I know it’ll likely take some time to actually start receiving my VA pay. Luckily I’ve already received my last check and sold back leave. I’ve been seeing people posting a lot lately that they can see their claim reopened on the same day they submit their...

How long until VA reopens case

Was just wondering if anyone who went through ides and recently retired/separated could give some insight into how long it’s taking the va to reopen and finalize claims? My last day was 3/31 and I submitted my dd214 on 3/20. My va profile has updated to show my active duty has ended but my claim...

    Comical C&P exams?

I had a very similar situation. I asked my MSC immediately about the issues in my exams and was told it would be caught by the raters. It wasn’t, the inaccuracies during my exams held through my proposed ratings and my narsum. It’s literally as though my records were not reviewed past initial...

    Asthma potential rating

Sorry to hop on but any idea if they use the lowest number on your pft or what the examiner says is best fit? My examiner says FEV-1/FVC is best fit which puts me at 60 but my FVC puts me at 100%

    Asthma Rating

Hi, I have a little bit of a tricky case and am wondering if anyone has any experience with what the va/dod might do. I claimed shortness of breath on my VA claims and they did a pft at my exams: Pre-Bronchodilator: FVC: 60% predicted FEV-1: 27% predicted FEV-1/FVC: 45% Post-Bronchodilator...

PFT Results But No Medical History

I've been complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath for over a year now and my primary care hasn't done much. It has gotten so bad that a flight of stars or long conversation leaves me winded. I just finished my VA exams, respiratory is not one of my referred conditions, and they had me...

    Ratings for Rare Cerebrovascular Disease

Hi everyone, I’ve just been informed that I’m headed to a medboard. I’m just getting started on this process and am tricare remote so have been only dealing with civilian doctors and basically am totally unfamiliar with the process. I was wondering if anyone has faced a similar situation to mine...
