    IDES TDRL Physical Re-examination Questions

I went through the IDES MEB process and received 90% VA rating and 70% DoD. I was medically retired in early 2025. However, today I received the following email: "I am emailing you on behalf of the U.S. Army Physical Disability Agency (USAPDA), Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL) Branch...

    TDRL Physical Evaluation Email

I was medically retired from the Army over a year ago, and I know I am part of the TDRL. I received an e-mail that states, "As a member of the Army's Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL), IAW AR 634-40, paragraph 4-33, sub-par (c)1, you are required to undergo periodic re-examination(s) as...

    Retired today... What happens next?

I finally reached my retirement date today. Background: I was medically retired from the Army (90% VA, 70% DoD). I only did 2 years of service. I went through the IDES MEB process. Now that I am retired, I have a few questions: 1. How long does it take for the VA.gov portal to update your...

    Reached Retirement, Now What?

I finally reached my retirement date today. Background: I was medically retired from the Army (90% VA, 70% DoD). I only did 2 years of service. I went through the IDES MEB process. Now that I am retired, I have a few questions: 1. How long does it take for the VA.gov portal to update your...

    Administrative Separation CND

Do your best not to let them admin separate you. Try and fight for a MEB. However, it sounds like they have already made up their mind by the way you worded it. Talk to your medical provider and your Chain of Command ASAP! MEB process lengths can vary greatly, but you would go through IDES...

    Retirement Date

I see you are Navy, so this might not apply. But on the Army side we have something called a Transitions Department. They are the ones that work through your final out date and clearing post. If you have a department like that, I would advise you to walk in there. I went to mine yesterday, and I...

    How To Out-Process Quickly?

Thank you! I walked into the Transitions Office today, they said I populated on their list this morning! They even moved me ahead of others to have my out processing brief on Friday! They said I can be out within a week since I already completed everything pretty much. Just have to clear...

    How To Out-Process Quickly?

Alright final step. On March 3rd, 2025 I signed my final documentation for my MEB and received an E-mail from my PEBLO stating my MEB was complete and the rest of the process will be handled by me and my company. Cool... How can I speed up this out-processing? I did TAPS already. I have my CIF...

Lower DOD % than expected? Affects on CRSC?

30% DOD and higher is medical retirement. There is absolutely no benefit to pursuing 70%. You won't get paid extra, you won't get an extra benefit that you miss out on at 50%. Sign on the line and move forward. 100% VA and 50% DOD is wonderful.

    Germany Timeline

You are moving quick. I am OCONUS as well, and from my MEB brief to signing my ratings, it was less than 3 months in total. I am now waiting to hear from Transitions and get my final out date. But when all is said and done, it will be about 3.5 months for me.

A Sincere Thank You To All!

When I got recommended for a MEB my life course completely changed. It felt surreal, overwhelming, confusing, and scary all at the same time. I didn't even know where to start. A person on Reddit sent me a link to this site, and I was skeptical. However, I started diving in and reading about all...

    Any Drawbacks to a VARR?

Got it. I appreciate the insight. This is a secondary condition that was given a 0%, but should have been given something. I was diagnosed with OSA while in service, did two sleep studies, both confirmed severe sleep apnea, and was issued a CPAP that I have to use on a nightly basis. Not sure...

    Any Drawbacks to a VARR?

So, I just received my proposed ratings. I really am not doing well mentally being in the Army, and part of me says sign it, screw it, move on with life. But, the reality is, I believe my rating should be higher. For this reason, I am considering a VARR. I have a few questions for anyone that...

    Case Closed on VA Website

I tried everything. Nobody will give me my proposed ratings until the Army finishes up on their end. I called the VA 5x, I had a VERA call, I called my PEBLO. All of them told me to just wait until the Army finishes up and then they will call me to go over everything at once.

Can I be Denied the Chance to MedBoard If Facing Admin Sep (Non-Punitive)?

I can only speak on the Army, but you cannot be facing any adverse actions to proceed with your MEB. This is literally one of the criteria they ask and confirm prior to initiating a MEB. If you are currently in the process of being administratively separated, then I would find it unlikely you...

    Case Closed on VA Website

Hello everyone, today I logged into VA.gov and my case is showing closed. It does state they sent a letter out, but unfortunately, I am not able to see the letter online yet. I e-mailed my Attorney and PEBLO to let them know. Question: Realistically, how much time left do I have assuming I...

    Fibro Freakout

Patience is the only advice I can give you. Once you have signed your NARSUM, it becomes a waiting game. Everyone's time line is different, but expect to not hear anything for roughly 2 months. It is hard not to go insane waiting around, but that is all you can do.

    Question Concerning DA 7652

I don't know all the answers to your questions, but my Attorney told me that the Commander's statement holds no weight. When I went to sign my NARSUM, she said, "Do you care to see what your Commander's opinion is of you? He's not a medical professional, and he is certainly not your medical...
