Air National Guard IRILO NGB Timeline Question

Hi all,

I'm an ANG member who finally just got their LOD back after 13 months with a ILOD determination (yay!), and am struggling to figure out a timeline for next steps based on other NGB cases I've read on the forums.

I've been told the AMRO has already met, and now the NARSUM and commanders impact statement is next up. It was explained that next, once the package is ready, it will go to NGB for the IRILO which will take 4-8 months by the medical techs current estimates based on what she's seen recently.

I believe it is this part from DAFMAN 48-108 "3.1.1.1. Following AMRO Board review of an IRILO, cases are forwarded to AFPC/DP2NP or ARC equivalent SG’s office for ARC members for disposition."

With the government shutdown they're not accepting new cases right now so that's a whole different issue, but anyone have insight or experience recently with NGB's timeline on IRILOs?

Do you know if you will be recommended for a duty-, or non-duty DES? From experience, NGB will pull out all the stops to push you into the non-duty DES.

The condition that is disqualifying is PTSD, which just came back with the LOD being found ILOD and from everything I know I should be recommended for duty DES.
