I applied for SSDI a few weeks ago after my medical attorney urged me to do so several times.
I am 100% TRDL both DoD and VA but still on active duty.
I applied online and gave all the information they asked for including contact information for my doctors and medical attorney, and a couple of weeks later they sent me a very long questionnaire about my conditions and daily life, which I filled out and faxed the day I received it.
I called yesterday (about a week after sending the questionnaire back) to make sure they received the faxed forms and the woman I spoke to said that they had made a decision on my case and that it was being mailed to me (she refused to tell me what the decision was over the phone, I don't know why). From her tone of voice and attitude as well as the quick turn around, I'm inferring that the letter will be one of a denial.
Can someone explain how to begin an appeal process if this is the case?
