Has anyone else been submitted for an AGDRB? And if so what was your timeline for it? I was referred in Sept 21 to an AGRDB and I am still waiting on that. All I keep getting from HRC is that it is pending board. At this point I am about to write my congressman. It has been over 7 months and it hasn't even been boarded yet. Anyone have any advice?

May I ask why you were submitted for an AGDRB? Has there been any update to this?
Not a bad question, but in August 2021, he had over 19 years active duty (“because at 19 years and one month you can definitely stretch it out to 20 years and that's only if they initiate an MEB”) and he would have reached his stated goal of retirement at 20 years AD in July 2022.

Opinion: He is unlikely to return to this forum.

Thanks for responding. I’m at 19 1/2 years and have been delaying my BH provider in placing P3 because I’m terrified I won’t make it to 20 years TIS (21 Aug 23). Can you point me in the right direction of a comprehensive list of ways to delay/appeal the timeline, so I don’t get caught short? She wants to place the P3 late next month and I’m not sure I can hold her off much longer. Thank you.

Have you thought about submitting a regular 20-year retirement packet? Even with and MEB at 19.5 years, it will most likely take over 6 months for the complete IDES process to take place in addition to any leave you have saved up.

Thank you for that suggestion. I just haven't pulled the trigger on a retirement packet because I was told by an attorney that if my retirement were approved before the MEB is initiated, I may be found "presumptively fit" by PEB and told to just retire.

Hi. I have the same situation. I did an retirement in lieu of elimination. I was referred in April 2025. Did you receive an answer as too how long it takes.

Hi all and thanks for the forum..... I have a question. I did a retirement in lieu elimination. Can someone tell me how long does the officer grade determination board takes? I was referred in April 2025 for the AGDRB because of a GOMAR. I'm a CW3 and I submitted my retirement packet, which is what triggered the board. Thanks in advance.

Any update or still pending?
