ARMY PDIR - EXORD adds 45 days due to shutdown - My PDIR has 135 day NLT Date vice normal 90 day NLT & PDIR questions

All,
Was awaiting my fully signed DA199 and PDIR and got a call yesterday from the US Army Physical Disability Agency. From a guy looking to finalize and push out my PDIR and 199 to my transition point. He says they don't normally call, but I am ARNG T10 AGR (been on continuous Active Duty since mid-2010). He said he couldn't push it out as the last set of Active Duty orders in my file ended 31AUG25 (true). He was concerned I wasn't on Active Duty anymore, and that I should be. I told him I was still on Active Duty - new orders were cut for 01SEP25 to 31AUG27 so I would stay on thru separation (per regs). He said he needed those orders, sent me his email address, and I went back in the office and sent the new, current orders to him. He was then nice enough to send me the PDIR and 199. Should be talking to RSO today or tomorrow.

Anyways...I asked him the date on the PDIR (it is 26NOV25) and what my 90-day NLT date is on the report. He told me the Army gave me an extra 45 days - so a 135-day NLT date. So, my NLT date on the PDIR is 10APR2026 (135 days from 26NOV25 publish date). He said this was due to the recent Army EXORD extending pending separations by 45 days due to the Gov shutdown. I thought it odd as I saw that EXORD when it came out and only thought it applied to Soldiers with established Separation Dates during the shutdown.

Whatever. I am NOT complaining! That is the date on the PDIR, so certainly don't have to worry about asking to extend to use all Leave. Will probably have my last day be March 30th.
Posting this in case other Army Soldiers are on the same timeline/circumstances. No idea what the other services are doing.

NOW I have some questions about what is on the PDIR if anyone can help!

Everything looks right: my grade, Disability %, combat questions are YES, SPD code is SEA, says Chapter 1201, etc.

But what the heck does "Retirement Type and Allotment Code: 9" mean? Cannot find anything about that in forum or thru google. Just curious. Do I even care??

Also, the Years, Months, Days that is in the upper right corner. Where does this data come from? Does it actually matter and/or is it really used by RSO/DFAS when computing longevity for retired purposed?

Voluntary and Mandatory Retirements are both 0, 0, 0, which seems right.

Chapter 1405 is 3 Years, 4 Months, and 22 Days. Now I understand Chapter 1405 time. My Chapter 1405 has always been 1 Year, 8 Months, and 28 days - hasn't obviously changed since I came back on continuous Active Duty in mid-2010. I know how it is calculated, calculated it myself, my State gave me the calculation, ARNG Retirement Services gave me the calculation, and many others. So, I know 1, 8, and 22 is correct. Why/Where does the PDIR pull more?

Disability Retirement shows 0 Years, 11 Months, 5 days. Where does this number come from and what does it even mean? I have been in the MEDBOARD process since officially starting on 07JUL24 (second signature on P3 Profile). These 11 months and 5 days seem to kinda correspond to ~date the PEB would have taken up my case from the MED and date PDIR published. Otherwise, it makes no sense to me.

Basic Pay is 23 Years, 3 Months, and 3 days. My BASD before 1405 time adjustments is 13JAN2004, so I have been on Active Duty 21 years, 10 months, and 14 days as of PDIR published. Even including the 1405 time I know is right, it comes out 23, 7, and 12, which also does correspond to what the PDIR states. It just seems high to me.

Again, do I really care about these numbers? These seem KINDA close...I guess.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

So don't sleep on this. My wife was AGR when she got medically retired. It's pretty hard to understand the PDIR but what counts is that your retirement orders have that info correct. If you have 20 AFS then your disability retirement should state 20 years for example. Your 1405 times should be 20 AFS too as your 1405 time will include all of the time you are on AD orders for AGR.

However, this all may get sorted out by the time you get orders. HRC has to calculate all of that information. So when you get your actual retirement orders make sure these numbers are correct. 1405 time should include your time for when you are AGR at 1 point per day so each year is 365 points or 366 if leap year. Disability retirement should be all of your active duty time but not any time that would be points. Think like a NG year when not AGR and you got membership points. So for example, My wife's disability retirement on her orders were 16 years, 1 months, 2 days but her 1405 time is 16 years, 10 months 11days.

Make sure to double check everything. My wife's numbers are off by a few months. That did affect her compensation. Unlike you she didn't get to 20 AFS and so her chapter 61 pension was offset by VA compensation. She was made whole by getting CRSC. However, since her calculations aren't correct she is losing out on $75 a month in CRSC pay because her actual longevity is slightly higher at 17 years, and some change. In some ways the numbers don't matter if they show 20 AFS since what you really want to focus on is making sure you are getting concurrent receipt of retirement pay and VA pay.

Thanks for that information! Not really sweating it too much now. It is a confusing document though.

Will ensure things are correct on my retirement order!
