Can you add a claim after receiving VA ratings?

I’m in the IDES process and all my C&P exams are complete, etc and I’m currently awaiting DA199.

Quick question, so I received a concussion/TBI a few days ago and have new conditions I can claim (migraines, dizziness, etc). Would I be better off to wait until I’m completely separated to claim this or can I do it while in the IDES process (if so, will it delay my progress?)

If you want to add it to your IDES claim, you have to do it at the end and basically restart a bunch of the process. On the flip side, you can prep all the paperwork and submit it the day you separate (or within a year of separation) and any claims that get picked up will back pay to the day you separated.
