Combat related conditions for CRSC

I recently received my DA199 and proposed VA ratings back and I'm rated 100% on both DOD and VA but none of the conditions are listed as combat related. I'm mainly concerned about my Fibromyalgia which the VA rated at 40%. I understand it's presumptive but does the fact that it's not listed as combat related matter in relation to my intent to file for CRSC? I just want to know if I should appeal or anything before signing the DA199.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No I wouldn't appeal only because that requires a FPEB and everything is on the table for a FPEB meaning they could change things you were trying to protest. Also, even if found combat related it wouldn't have any financial impact on you unless your chapter 61 pension is larger than your VA compensation which for many is not the case.

The laws for Combat related for the PEB are completely different than for CRSC. Since Fibro is presumptive it should be automatically approved for CRSC as long as you include all the required information for your CRSC application. For example, you need in your CRSC application a DD214 showing deployed to a qualified country for the presumptive condition and a VA award letter for that presumptive condition. Typically you need to wait a month or 2 after medically retiring to get all of the required documents such as a finalized VA award letter. A proposed VA rating doesn't count.

Thank you. I just signed the DA199 and returned it. My chapter 61 pension is higher than my VA compensation, so I'll submit the CRSC packet after this is all done and see what happens. I appreciate the details.
