I medically retired from the Army Reserve with 26 years. Tthey counted 10 years 7 months at 70%. I receive 100% VA and after 8 months they finally updated my verification of pay in mypay to read that I have a waiver. I applied for CRSC on 07 July 2023. Does this mean DFAS already got something back from the Army in regards to CRSC? Why did it take 8 months to display that I have waived my retirement pay?

TBH, this is more of a question for DFAS than anything. And I'm sure that response would be just as confusing. DFAS gets their notification at the same time you do, and considering the timeline HRC could have requested verification from DFAS to ensure that the waiver was in place before processing your claim, which triggered DFAS to show it. My waiver showed from the beginning and I'm guessing in your case it was just another slip-up on DFAS's part.
