CRSC & CRDP Estimates [indicate which applies]

Yes it’s all active duty and I do qualify for regular retirement..
Your pay will be:

  • 5540 x 30% = 1662 DoD disability (less than longevity)
  • 20.83 months x 2.5% = 52.08% longevity multiplier
  • 5540 x 52.08 = 2885.23 longevity portion of retired pay
  • Your CRDP (since you qualify for a regular retirement) is 2885.23
  • You will also receive your VA comp,
TOTAL DFAS: 2885.23
TOTAL VA: 3966.41 (per your info)

Thanks for the estimate. At what point do I get my actual final pay info? I am waiting on my orders currently will this be something that finance will tell me at our processing?

Someone else will have to answer that question. I had a regular retirement 30 years ago.

DFAS establishes the retired pay account and computes retired pay. I am confident it is computerized.

HEY JUST LOOKING FOR A CALCULATION...

HIGH 3 = $2312
8 GOOD YEARS IN THE RESERVE = 1.63 OR 1064 POINTS
VA & ARMY DISABILITY RATING 100%
VA = $3611.45
1 WIFE 2 KIDS

IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME OUT I WOULD APPRECATIE IT.

Hello,

Using your figures--

1. Your retired pay will be reduced to zero due to the amount of VA compensation.

2. If your total points for retirement are 1064, then 1064/360 = 2.94 active duty equivalent

3. 2.94 x 2.5% = 7.35% longevity multiplier

4. 2312 x 7.35% = 169.93 longevity portion of retired pay and CRSC maximum if 2.94 was your AD equivalent

5. If 1.63 was your active duty equivalent then 1.63 x 2.5% = 4.1 longevity multiplier. 2312 x 4.1% = 94.79 longevity portion of retired pay and CRSC maximum if 1.63 was your AD equivalent

6. Notes:
a. An approved CRSC percentage was not shown so the actual CRSC could be less in one case and will not be higher in either case.
b. A 2% rate would be used instead of 2.5% if you selected the blended retirement system.
c. Your active duty equivalent will be shown on your retirement order 3/4 down on first page as "Disability Retirement".
d. In most CRSC cases, the following info is needed for a computation: Information necessary for CRSC estimate: LINK <---
Your case was relatively simple to compute.

You provided this new information: "I JUST CHECKED MY ORDERS AND MY ACTIVE DUTY EQUIVALENT IS 2 YEARS 11 MONTHS AND 14 DAYS." Earlier, you said your high three was 2312.

2.916 x 2.5% = 7.29% longevity multiplier
2312 x 7.29% = 168.54 longevity portion of retired pay and CRSC maximum if 2 years, 11 months was your AD equivalent
Your CRSC cannot be more; however, if the unknown CRSC percentage is approved at a CRSC percentage that converts to an amount less than 168.54, that would be your CRSC.
Example:
Disability rating 10%
Monthly payment 144.14
