CRSC Question - Army

Basic Information:

US Army medically retired
Time in Service: 13 years 3 months
VA: 100%
DoD: 70%
VA Compensation Pay: $3,938.58 (Single, no dependents)
eRAS Gross Pay: $1746.50 (0.00 Net)

Medically retired with 70% PTSD rating (combat badge, combat award for specific event) and 10% for MSK injury (70% net).
Both are marked combat-related on DA 199

Question: Is it worth submitting a CRSC packet with all disabilities that are considered "combat-related," to include those not evaluated by the DoD, or should I just submit a CRSC packet with only PTSD as the claim, since this alone will "max" my CRSC percentage?

Separately, are CRSC claims submitted via email reliable?

Any insight is appreciated.

Thank you.

I submitted my CRSC claim VIA email, and everything went smooth. I received an email confirmation that it was received on the same day i submitted.

With the end result the same whether you put in for just the PTSD (70%) or all combat-related VA-rated conditions (don't forget tinnitus and any/all VA Presumptive conditions which automatically get approved for CRSC), imho, I'd just put in for the PTSD w/CAB/CIB/CMB orders, DD-214, retirement orders and your VA Ratings Decision memo. If any reserve time, include a copy of your retirement points statement. That's it.

And, yes, email is perfectly fine. If you haven't received an email receipt within a week, call them. Any attachments that cause your email to be more than 3MB in size could end up being blocked by their email server. If that happens, break up the attachments into multiple emails with the Subject: "Last, First last4 - email 1 of xx", "2 of xx" etc
