Hey everyone,
I am posting a snapshot of my current timeline. Hopefully this helps for those a couple steps behind me.

I want to note that my VA rating was completed on 1 April, but they didn’t post it yet.

I also don’t have a PEB Findings, because the IPEB “presumed” me as fit.

I will be creating a separate post to discuss my PFIT rating and appeal. But if you have any timeline questions feel free to reply.

I will be interested to see how this progresses. I am also starting an appeal

I am curious about your CRSC approval since apparently you are not retired until 29 Sep 2021. One of the requirements for CRSC is to be in a retired status and it is my understanding the services will return a CRSC application without action if the applicant is not retired.

When did you submit your CRSC application?

From Army HRC (the process is likely the same for other services):

[application process]
Step 3- Make sure you have a retired pay account, and a VA waiver in place on your retired pay account from DFAS. Go to 'My Pay" pull up your electronic retired pay account, look near the bottom and you will see the word "Waiver" and a dollar amount next to it. The two must common reasons for an ineligible letter to be mailed out is No retired pay account and/or VA waiver not in place on account.

When did you apply for CRSC and if so how long did it take to get back the percentage awarded and so on?

Hello @IBMWatson

One has to be in a retired status to be eligible for CRSC.

Eligibility
To qualify for CRSC you must:

--be entitled to and/or receiving military retired pay

--be rated at least 10 percent by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA)

--waive the amount of VA compensation from your retired pay (i.e., your retired pay is reduced by amount of VA compensation)

--file a CRSC application with your Branch of Service

Good luck,
Ron

Thanks for the response. I know the qualifications/eligibility requirements; however, after reading up a little, I was wondering exactly the same question you had asked. How he was able to be approved for CRSC prior to being retired from the Army.

Ron,

Long time admirer here.. my orders and instructions say that I am approved "combat pay" with the instructions on how to apply for CRSC. I haven't been awarded a percentage and can't officially apply for CRSC until I get my 1st VA check ~1 October. I typed CRSC as a quick way to describe what I was told "combat pay" meant. Thank you for pointing out the distinct difference in the process so I don't confuse other people.
Based on my service history and ratings I am confident that I will be approved once submitted.
Thanks again for all of the advice, both direct and indirect!
