DA-199 Questions

Hello,
I am fully aware of the system update and obviously the shutdown, but has there been anyone in the past month who has been able to obtain their DA-199?
I was elected into the PEB 5Aug25, and the VA completed my case on 29Aug25, and since then I’ve just been waiting. Does anyone know if they’re still working a skeleton crew at the moment, or if they’re still are truly that backed up.

This is a brief look into my timeline:
5Jun25 - MEB/PEB Referral
25Jun25 - Elected into IDES
9Jul25 - IDES Election Brief
5Aug25 - Case Submitted to the PEB
29Aug25 - VA Finished Claim (Was told it was forwarded to the Peb
??? - PEB Ratings Received
~as of 1Dec25

My VA claim closed August 29th aswell. (USMC) as of a right now no ratings. I did see someone that had their VA claim close September 8th get their ratings last week (USMC)

The VA closed my case and sent it to the PEB to finalize and give me my findings September 12th but then they immediately shut down all of their systems for their update that was supposed to only take 2 weeks which lasted into the government shut down, the shut down lifted Nov 13th I believe and then a week later the PEB came back online because they finally finished their upgrades. I still have not received my findings as of today December 3rd and it was for 2 conditions. So I don't know what the hell is taking so long because everything I have seen says this is one of the fastest steps of the whole process.

I've been in IDES with the navy since Janurary. I'm in the same step you are. Submitted to the PEB mid July. VA ratings done since October 14th. It's moving very very slow right now. But it is moving.

Well I mean you have to think about it. The VA gives you a rating for your specific condition. They then match that exact rating for that condition and send you the results. That would require them looking at the number VA the gave them and then matching it. We might think that would take no less than 10 seconds. We would be wrong. We gotta understand they need months in order to do that 10 second task.

you ain't lying brother lol

I finally received my ratings lol. I'm very much considering signing to accept them and hope my second 526EZ pushes me from 90% VA to 100% through a BDD, but I'm planning on talking to my MSC to see how the process would work. I'm currently at about 91%, which is devastating, but I feel as if it should be higher due to the extremities of my numerous accumulated conditions (My referred condition being Narcolepsy, which is already an instant 80% from my understanding). The second 526EZ has 3 claims, I believe, but I'm also missing 1 if I'm not mistaken. I am awaiting the papers to sign from my PEBLO, and then I'll start thinking about what's next. I'm just hoping to get my medical retirement date quickly, instead of how sluggishly this last part of the process has been. Regardless, I'm happy as long as it doesn't get lower. I enjoyed my time in, but I'm extremely ready to move on.

This is what my timeline looks like now:

5Jun25 - MEB/PEB Referral
25Jun25 - Elected into IDES
9Jul25 - IDES Election Brief
5Aug25 - Case Submitted to the PEB
29Aug25 - VA Finished Claim (Was told it was forwarded to the Peb
9Oct25 - TAPS Capstone Completed
6Jan2026 - PEB Ratings Received (80% DoD, 90% VA)
