Does TDRL re eval poke the bear?

Does the TDRL re eval cause the VA to look at all your ratings?
To my knowledge no: it was not an evaluation triggered by a claim you requested nor was it a file for increase by you. It's meant to assess the stability of that disability and the VA will report their findings in order to swap you from TDRL to PDRL if it's warranted.

Example: If you fear your evaluation for mental health will trigger an evaluation for your back the answer is no unless that also happens to be an unstable condition and you are not P&T. They are not related though.

I think you can request your file to see what is and isn't stable to calm your nerves.

@KDawgie

TDRL re-evaluations are singularly focused on the condition(s) for which you were placed on TDRL. Much like targeted C&P exams, TDRL re-evaluations are tailored for specific purposes - reporting the current state of your unstable unfitting condition and providing a rating for that condition. Although applying for a new condition that can potentially lead to any part of a veteran's file being reviewed (the VA is very open about this), this is not the case with TDRL re-evaluations; after all, applying for new conditions is voluntary, whereas TDRL re-evaluations are compulsory. Moreover, if it were the case, Service members on TDRL would have an incentive to avoid participating in the TDRL process to keep their current VA ratings. This, of course, would have all sorts of unintended, negative consequences for the Military Departments, the VA and individual Service members.

I hope this helps.
