Error/Typo/Mistake made to one of my claims by my MSC

Looking over my proposed ratings again I noticed that my MSC entered one of my conditions incorrectly. He switched 2 letters of the acronym of the condition, and instead of him filing my claim as a sleep disorder, he filed it as a learning disability. It didn't affect my ratings, but I don't wanna sign my 356 with an erroneous condition in my records. With my luck I'd get in some kinda trouble for it. The IPEB and the VA disregarded it anyway, so I don't wanna try to get it fixed right now if it's gonna make this process take any longer than it needs to. Should I just leave it as is since it didn't affect anything and I can claim the correct condition when I'm outta the military, or get it fixed somehow now?

I would fix it now. To sign with erroneous conditions is to agree to misrepresent your conditions. even if the ratings would even out, its still wrong and you don't want to be denied care or compensation later for a simple error.

You know what's really frustrating about this? I told my PEBLO, VA Examiner, and my MSC about this error in May, but it still made it all the way through to the final stages. I called the VA to see if they could tell me how to get it fixed and they said to call the MSC. Well my MSC is trash, so I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I have a new PEBLO and I'm going to call her tomorrow to see what she says. If she gives me a bullshit answer, I'm getting legal involved. I don't wanna get my MSC in trouble, but I might call his supervisor because he's been completely useless, lazy, and incompetent with my case from Day 1.

Clerical errors are easy to fix. Have your lawyer type up a memo for the PEBLO, they will correct the 356.

The error didn't affect my 356 or any of my ratings whatsoever, so should I still get a memo written up?

Generally speaking, if it doesn't matter....well, it doesn't matter. You can't get into trouble for this. It seems to be just a drafting/clerical error (or what is called a "scrivener's error"). Would not waste my time with it if it does not matter.

Can I PM you a picture of what I'm talking about?
