So I have a question. I got 100% p&t with the VA AND 0% DOD. I wanted retirement with the military but they just gave me the option of separation with severance pay. Don’t know if I should risk my VA rating being reevaluated for 30% dod retirement. I didnt think the VA would rate me 0% at the end of all this for my unfit condition. That being said if I’m dual military with less th an 20 yrs and will still receive all base benefits and tricare still with va health care is it worth it to fight for retirement with a VARR Or adding and additional unfit condition im already rated at with the VA at 30% ?

I personally was wanting the 30% DOD because I wanted Tricare. That is huge especially for a family of 4. If that is not really a concern to you then don’t worry about it. If it is I would try to appeal it.
