Help!!! AF IPEB

Going through AF IPEB process at Wright Patt. Here's the info:
Me: E-7 AGR in the ANG, 17 years TIS (6 AD, 11 ANG)
Medical condition: Severe agitated depression (possible bi-polar disorder). Being seen by therapsit/psych since August 2010. Condition has not improved at all, and meds have been consitently added/dosages increased.
Current Meds:
Celexa 40mg 2x day
Xanax 1mg 2x day
Trileptal 600mg 2x day
Lamictal 150mg 1x day
Abilify 15mg 1x day

Timeline:
August 2010- Hospitalized for severe depression anxiety
September 2010- Put on profile/MEB
September 2010- C/C wrote favorable letter so that I could participate in ORI (no arming)
13 May 2011- Went to Wright-Patt for IPEB.

Since IPEB, I've been calling weekly and getting the same answer "You should hear something in a week...blah blah."
Last Thursday 23 May called PEBLO and was told "We just received some paperwork from psych, call back next week."
I've been having the clinic fax letters from my Dr. down to PEBLO bi-weekly.
What I'm hoping for is medical discharge with severance pay. Will be rated by the VA for major depression/anxiety, bad left knee (meniscus), and some hearing loss. Plan on using the Post 9-11 G.I. Bill to get a fresh start.

Questions:
1.) How much longer do you guys think this process will take?
2.) How likely will I get the results I hope for (VA), and what do you estimate my Severance will be?

Thanks for any and all info!!!

I'm not completely sure how the ANG differs from AD AF. I'm a little confused on why your Psych is sending letters bi-weekly. Are you enrolled in IDES (VA Appointments and Evaluation) or are they having AFPC assign the ratings?

The process is pretty much the same. The main thing is that we only have a clinic here(basically immunizations and records). So Wright Patt is the nearest AD hospital. All my docs are civilian since I'm under Tricare Prime Remote. Since my MEB started I've been directed to bring a synopsis from the civilian doc, which they've been forwarding to Wright Patt.

I was told Wright-Patt will be going to the IDES process july 1st. The local IPEB meets weekly from my understanding. Once they feel they are ready, your package will meet the local board where they will decide if you will retrn to duty or your package will be forward to Randolph. I have had nothing but troubles getting the MEB to do anything right and of course they don't care. The MEB just got a new SSgt and she seems to be concerned on how they are doing the process, time will tell. There is no telling how long this process could take because everybodies is different.

If they enrolled you in IDES, here is a quick rundown of how it will play out

1. Coded For MEB: Meet PEBLO and VA Rep. Schedule VA Appt

2. Attend VA Appt

3. PEBLO Receive VA Claim Summary and tasks PCM for NARSUM and CC for CC Rec Letter

4. PEBLO will compile package (CC ltr, NARSUM and VA Summary Report)

5. Local MEB. Results will be RTD or forward to IPEB

6. Review and sign package for IPEB (You can also choose to add an MFR from your point of view and request an impartial review)

7. Package sent to IPEB at AFPC. IPEB determines Fit or Unfit. Sends back back to PEBLO if fit or to VA for Unfit

8. VA assigns ratings and returns it back to AFPC

9. AFPC calculates only your disqualifying conditions and sends the proposal to PEBLO

10. Sign either you agree with IPEB or request FPEB

11. Await DOS

Keep in mind, this is just a rundown of the basic steps involved in the IDES. If you are on the previous system, just take out the VA portions and AFPC will assign the ratings.

From the above list can you say what you have already completed? I ask because WP does not handle the IPEB, that is complete down at Lackland.
