Hello, Im totally lost when it comes to calculating my possible CSRC pay. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but I'd like to see where I'm at if I get retired. I've tried to do it myself, but I always seem to come up with a different result. Here's my information:
1. Rank: Sergeant/E-5
2. Time in Service (at estimated time of retirement): 6 years 6 months
3. DoD Rating: 60%
4. VA Rating: 100% P&T w/ SMC-K
5. CSRC: 50%
6. BRS Method A (DoD%): $2,012
7. BRS Method B (Years of service): $436
Based on my calculations, per month, I would receive $3987 from the VA, $2,012 from 60% DoD via Method A or $436 via Method B.
So, using Method A, since it would be more beneficial to the service member, it would be $3,987 + (2,012 X 50%), which would total to $4,993. Is this correct?
