Home Awaiting Orders

So I know it's a thing,
and my case got picked for a "random review" after signing my findings that everyone says there's no timeline of when it has to be completed/done.

I've read all the orders. I know how to get it, the forms, I've talked to my CO and he's on board if it's a possibility.

My real question is, has anyone actually seen receipt of pay or benefits actually get messed up through this?
Or is that just vague wording included in the order because people have done it wrong?
It feels like a plant to prevent people from doing it, cause if it actually caused problems you'd just fix the source. An order can't be a workaround because other orders don't work...

Random review is a quality review process. It happened to me and it changed nothing.

I understand that. People at the same signing date as me are getting their EAS already, two from the same office the same day got it the week after signing.

Mine has not updated and the PEBLO tracker states they haven’t even started reviewing it yet. Im not worried about things changing. Im just making sure that the tidbit in the order is due to human error of people not doing stuff right rather than “the system acts up” when you do this.

I spoke with MMSR-4 today to get some clarification on Home Awaiting Orders because there is conflicting information found in MCO orders and on the HQMC outbound seps page. I'm guilty of sharing this conflicting information concerning Home Awaiting Orders.

In short, you were correct in stating that a Marine CAN be sent home awaiting orders BEFORE they receive findings from the PEB. References I used to state otherwise are inaccurate because I was referencing an old version of the MARCORSEPMAN and other orders and resources I referenced haven't been updated to reflect changes in the most recent version of MCO 1900.16 CH2 (MARCORSEPMAN) dated 15 Feb 2019.

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

Any chance you know where I can find the most updated information?

MCO 1900.16 CH2 (MARCORSEPMAN) dated 15 Feb 2019. And by calling MMSR-4. They are the ones that approve home awaiting orders requests.

Thank you so much. I read through it, and see that I will have to ask some questions as there isn't much information in there. Is MMSR-4 an entity I can just call or does it need to be done from my chain of command?

**Editing to add that I'm an idiot and the number is right there in the order.
