How Far Behind is AFPC?

So the VA sent my proposed ratings to AFPC on 07 June. I was told that I would "get the call" in 30 days, and obviously that hasn't happened. I've been calling my PEBLO once a week since then, and all she tells me is "give it another week". I called her again last Wednesday and she told me to give it two more weeks "just to be on the safe side". Does anyone on this forum know how far behind AFPC is? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

VA proposed 70% disability (Generalized Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, Scoliosis, Tinnitus, and some "female issues"...)
 
Not to freak you out, but my VA ratings were sent 09 May and I'm still waiting. I've been told by my PEBLO that I'm by far his oldest case though, so I may be an outlier.
 
im in same boat my propsed ratings were done and sent to AFPC on May 4th and still nothing
 
Fantastic. There has to be some way to find out how much longer we have to wait...this is getting ridiculous. Is there any action that can be taken to speed the process up, or at least find out how many packages are in front of ours?
 
All just FYI. AFPC did not receive a bunch of VA packages during May/June. My case was one of them. I had my PEBLO call CM and have been fighting to get answers. If you are in this boat have the PEBLO to call and have the VA load it into the "safe" system. The Air Force just started being able to receive packages this way instead of snail mail. If yours was sent before 1 Julyand haven't heard anything I would ask for them to resend.
 
Thanks for the info! According to the last update I got from my PEBLO, I was told that my package was indeed received by AFPC on 07 June and I guess is awaiting final decison or something. I'm heading to the office tomorrow to see if she can call AFPC and give me some more detailed information. They just LOOOVVVE it when I come to visit!!! ;)

My Peblo also told me mine was received by AFPC on the 6th June. Since I still have heard anything I had her call. AFPC received the info that PEBLO sends over but did not receive the actual package from VA and they stated they need the packge from VA not a copy from my PEBLO even if they are the same. When you go in tomorrow have them call AFPC while you are in the office and verify they have the package from VA. I have found it rather Hard to get a straight answer from anyone so make sure you get the conversation documented. Good luck.
 
I am in the same boat as everyone else. I got my VA rating on the 8Jun12 and from the base I heard it would be 2 weeks, 3 weeks and a month from that date I would get the complete packaged from AFPC. Well it has definitely surpassed all those timelines and now it is just getting stupid. I have been going through a MEB for 2 years and my leadership just states that I should be happy it has gotten this far. That is ridiculous and it has cause nothing but problems. I was told by AFPC that mine was completely done and it was just waiting for signtures ..... that was a month ago. In the meantime I am leaving with friends, not knowing if I should enroll my children back into school or what. They told us it would be done a year ago........ still waiting.

- If fit, AFPC returns return to duty to PEBLO
- If unfit, AFPC requests (from VA) ratings on the conditions that have made member unfit.
- VA sends reply to AFPC. This is the first time AFPC will receive anything from VA.
- AFPC develops members 199 and sends back to PEBLO for member review signature

There is more before and after what I have listed, but the point here is that the package that the PEBLO sends is the official package that AFPC uses at the IPEB....VA sends nothing but ratings determination when requested by the IPEB. It sounds like your PEBLO is giving you bad info/run around.

that's they way mine has gone. I already now found unfit/VA rating... just waiting on military package deal now
 
Copy all. I read the post incorrectly as this being the iniail package from PEBLO to IPEB to determine fit/unfit.

Went to see the PEBLO this morning. She verified that AFPC did receive proposed VA ratings package on 07 June. She also told me that she received a package from AFPC yesterday (17 July) who's PEB date was 01 June. Since my date was 07 June, she told me I would more than likely hear something next week. Fingers crossed! Thanks again for the information!! :)
 
Does anyone know what the process for IDES after the VA compleats you review and how long it takes?
Any information would be greatley apreachead
 
Mark, do you mean when they send the rating back? If so that all depends on how fast APFC processes the package. They now can see it online instead of snail mail. They will however tell you it is done snail mail way. I believe they use that excuse to give them more time to play catch up since they are so far behind. So it could be 2 weeks or 2 months.

I'm trying not to be impationant, however I would like to start planing for the future. E-benefets showed my review compleate as of 10 July.
 
My VA review was complete May 25, my IPEB was July 3 and my base got my proposed rating on July 13.

Rest of my timeline

Sep 26, 2011 signed paperwork to get everything started.
Oct 7, 2011 C&P exams at VA med center
Dec 12, 2011 Told everything being shipped to AFPC
Jan 12, 2012 Everything actually shipped to AFPC
May 25, 2012 VA review complete
July 3, 2012 IPEB meets, issues proposed rating/VA rating package
July 13, 2012 IPEB proposed rating received at my base, I agreed with everything and signed it so now I am just waiting to get retirement notice
 
My rateing should be in some time in the next two weeks, I am faceing an administrative demotion started last week. I know this will extendend the timeframe I will seperate. Has anyone on here experanced this or know anything about how this may play out.

P.S.
I do plan on fighting the demotion to exhaustion
