IDES backlog from government shutdown

Case has been stuck at adjudication stage since November. PEBLO informed me its because of the backlog from the government shutdown. Any idea as to how long it'll take to clear the backlog or when I'll finally receive findings?

I'm not sure that anyone knows. We also have ANOTHER shutdown on the horizon. I sent my stuff to the Peblo after the shutdown and it just now was sent to the PEB this January. I also got emails from my Peblo asking for documents I already sent (I think he lost them).

Wow. I stopped my MEB process in Sept 2025, because I feared I wouldn't make it to 20 years (Feb 2027). I'd like to get it going again, but I MUST make 20 years before being released. I'm now 13 months out and I hear it takes like 6-9 months for the IDES process, so I cannot jump the gun, but if things are backlogged 3 months, perhaps I will be able to pull the trigger soon????

Backlogs from a shutdown can take a while to unwind because cases that paused all restart at once and there is no way to fast track them unless something is missing or requires action from you. Once adjudication is moving again, most people see progress resume in batches over several weeks, but timelines vary by workload at the VA rating site and PEB processing queue. Unfortunately there is usually no visible movement until the findings are actually released, so staying in touch with your PEBLO for status checks is about all you can do while it works back through the system.
