I am an Army Reservist that is being referred to MEB for femoral acetabular impingement (FAI) in my right hip. FAI/hip condition was service connected during active duty. I have VA ratings (low) for both hips for the same condition. I was told today that by my PEBLO that she has seen some cases being processed through PEB in under 30 days, but the standard is between 1-3 months. My VA profile says evidence gathering phase with date of 22JAN2024. I have spoken to multiple orthopedists about surgery, but do not want to take the risk. I am currently 90% VA.
Does anyone have experience with FAI in IDES? Any recommendations/suggestions?
