May 2023: Referred to IDES
6/18: VA Intake
7/6: First Exam
7/24: Final Exam
10/2: NMA sent to Peblo
10/11: Case accepted by the PEB

The huge jump between the VA timeframe and my NMA stems from some paperwork/communication issues and shouldn't be reflective of a normal timeline. I was trying to get some questions answered and didn't really get a solid response until I got my documents back. Figured I'd throw my timeline up now though since I've hit the waiting period.

Got my proposed ratings back on November 11th. I had to call the VA to actually get my letter but I am looking at 100%.

Mind sharing the number (ballpark) of referred conditions and VA conditions claimed? Mine was accepted at PEB near end of Sept and was told still pending voting as of last week…

I only had one referral condition (lower back pain w/ radiculopathy) with 13 other conditions claimed against the VA. Honestly the only reason I can rationalize me getting done before you after looking at your timeline is the VA said my claim was opened in July, meaning they might have gotten my exam information then.

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting, my case was actually opened with VA in July as well so hopefully I should see some movement soon.

I may have also been a pretty easy person to find unfit. I've been dealing with my back since 2021 and haven't ran a fitness test for about that long. I hope you get news soon.

Update- Called the Peb today, got told that they just sent up the request for my DOD rating today and that I should get DOD % back in about 36 hours. After that I got told to expect around at least 45 days for everything else.

Wow your timeline seems pretty fast. When did the VA close your case? Check out my timeline and see what you think. I was just told Monday to expect another month and a half.

What do you mean by “everything else”?

The rest of the process. Those were the exact words that he used with me. I'm not super well informed with the timeline internally with the Peb but my vague understanding looking at other timelines is they do DOD rating, let my peblo know, then it goes through whatever other steps until they send you the final findings and you sign. To me that's where the 45 days comes in. That doesn't include anything related to waiting for my EAS date, it was just in reference to the Peb.

That’s what I thought. Just wanted to verify you weren’t saying you expected your findings in 36 hours

My case was closed on Nov 11. I'm definitely taking my timeline with a grain of salt especially with the holidays, so a month and a half for you wouldn't be surprisingly unfortunately. I hope you get stuff back sooner than that.

Sorry if that wasn't clear. He said he'd get the DOD rating back in that timeframe, not everything as a whole. To me that means probably another two weeks before I hear anything at least.

If you’re lucky you may hear something, my PEBLO seems to be one of the more forthcoming ones and even he doesn’t have anything for me other than it’s in QA.

But yeah QA is super super backed up at the moment. Normally it shouldn’t take that long at this point but the average seems to be 7-9weeks right now

I doubt I'll hear anything before my peblo finds out my DOD and until he needs me to sign something. I've been unable to get ahold of him or my MSC and they've only reached out to schedule me for stuff or get things signed. The way I'm taking it is the process is supposed to take 45 days once the Peb gets the DOD back, but with the holidays and the backlog it'll probably be like your case and take a lot longer.

Your peblo will not get your DOD rating until its ready for you to sign. Your peblo also has 72 hours to notify you once they receive your findings.

Just got an email today from my lawyer saying my findings are complete. Scheduling an appointment now. The end is in sight.

Things seem to be moving again post holiday. If you get ahold of the PEB they should be able to tell you how many cases are in front of yours.
