Just a few questions..

Sorry if this is the wrong place.

So... I fought against the MEB idea as much as possible, but in Feb. I was notified my stuff was sent to the DAWG to review. Then in March my IRILO was sent out and early April I was told I was going through the rest of the MEB. My C&P exams were from 11 May - 15 May in D.C. (I am stationed in England.) and I am now waiting on my NARSUM.

I guess my question is.... What are the odds of the PEB stating I can RTD?

I have read on here that people overseas that are sent state side have a very high chance of being discharged. Is this true?

Also, my therapist, PEBLO and case worker have all stated that the odds of me staying in are near non existent.

My MEB is due to PTSD.
I did In-Patient Therapy for two months because of the impact it took on my life. As soon as I came back... all this MEB junk started.

Funny how I talked to a Maj. at Mental Health for nearly two hours about that and if it would impact my career.... "No.. not at all...."

Look where I am now >.>

I was stationed overseas as well. MEBs to my understanding or boards done at a local hospital where you are at. They then send the Paperwork to the PEB in Washingtion for a recommendation of being put into the IDES(Individual Disability Evalution System) They with say at this time a yes or no . For PTSD it will most likely be a yes . Then you will get PCSd to a Command Stateside Near a MTF . At the new Duty Station they well evalutate you again and submit another MEB to the PEB for a fit or unfit finding. ( I was told during this process you are able to stop the PEB process . but to my knowledge I dont know ) Also your PEBLO at the NEW duty station will scheldule an appointment for you with the VA to go through your WHOLE medical recored of all Conditions. VA at this time will also setup your QTC appointments . At the QTC appointments they will be writting your C and P exams right ups that will go with your packet that goes to the PEBLO that will be sent with your NARSUM from your doctors at your Hospital, All of it will go to DC to be found fit or unfit for duty. So most likely you will have more unfit conditons on top of the PTSD . When you get to your new command my suggestion to you is prove to them that you have your PTSD under control. The doctors can recommend you Fit for service.

Thanks for the reply. I am actually in the IDES already. I am just being held here at Mildenhall for the whole process. I already flew to DC for my C and P exams. The only thing I saw that I was being borded for was the PTSD... they didn't say anything about my depression and so forth (unless that is written into the packet.) As for going to new command, I was supposed to go to Korea, but it was cancelled because of the MEB. Also my therapist was constantly telling me that I shouldn't be in the military since she thinks I am un-deployable. She says being deployed may be to much for me now. Also I talked to my shirt and every thing that was on the commanders letter was good except the deployability part.
