For my proposed ratings, MS is not included. It is only noted as a residual of MS in my disability of neurogenic bladder which received a 40% rating.
My proposed rating states "MS is evaluated at a minimum of 30% unless evaluation of residual symptoms would result in a higher evaluation. Your neurogenic bladder would warrant 40% evaluation."
Do they not rate both separately? My bladder issues are only related to MS.
MS is the reason for the MEB. Why did it not get a rating?
I have a similar neurological autoimmune disease, Myasthenia Gravis. These things are rated by residuals. My disease is worth a minimum 30% for just having the disease just like MS. I was rated 40% per leg plus bilateral factor for leg weakness and atrophy, 60% for pulmonary residuals, and 0% for ocular residuals. I wound up with 100% rating due to mental health issues being unfitting along with myasthenia residuals being unfitting.
What other issues do you have due to MS? Have you claimed these issues?
The way they rated your MS is how the VA rates it. If I were you, I'd argue that the PTSD was unfitting as well. If you haven't had an FPEB yet, that is what I would recommend.
